A Nurse (m/f/x)

Under full-time or part-time (80%) contract for an indefinite period

What does the job entail?

As a nurse in geriatrics, you provide global nursing care. You are patient and empathetic to inform and support patients and their loved ones. You can adapt to all situations and manage urgent cases. You are competent to apply the appropriate communication techniques (e.g. in case of dementia). You are in good physical condition and have mastered the techniques of lifting and ergonomics. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal follow-up.

Your mission is aimed at maintaining, improving or restoring the state of health, well-being and independence of geriatric patients.

· Use of the specific equipment and materials in the geriatric department (prostheses, orthoses, aids);

· To ensure the well-being of patients (comfort, hygiene, nutrition, etc.);

· Integrating the notion of "Quality of Life" into the approach of the elderly patient.

Your manager, your team and your environment

⦁ You will be supervised by Laure Kamgaing, head nurse, and Solange Uwisoni, deputy head nurse.

⦁ The unit has 9 nurses, 7 care assistants and 1 logistical help.

⦁ You will work at the Molière Longchamp campus in Voorst.

Your education

· You have a Bachelor (graduate) in nursing, endorsed and registered by the Medical Commission of Brabant

· You have the legal specialization title in geriatrics.

· If you have a nursing degree and experience in geriatrics, you are also welcome to apply.

Your experience and knowledge

⦁ You already have experience or are looking for a first or new challenge.

⦁ Experience in geriatrics is an asset.

⦁ You have a very good knowledge of French. You are able to understand the patient's needs and communicate with your colleagues.

Your skills

⦁ You can manage your time and priorities in such a way that optimal follow-up of patients is ensured.

⦁ You are independent in your work, but you also like to work in a team and have a good sense of cooperation.

⦁ You are discreet, honest and respect confidentiality.

⦁ You are flexible, you work in a 5-day week (from Monday to Friday), with schedules between 7 am and 8:30 pm.

⦁ Your physical condition enables you to take care of the movement of the elderly in the best possible way.

⦁ You are attracted to geriatrics and appreciate the follow-up outside the hospital walls (residential care centres, home care, etc.).

A salary based on the IFIC scales (Category 14 or 14b), with the assumption of seniority:

⦁ Min : cat 14 = 3313,66 € (index : 2,1223) ou cat 14b = 3063,71 € (index : 2,1223)

⦁ Max : cat 14 = 5234,62 € (index 2,1223) ou cat 14b = 4661,93 € (index : 2,1223)
