For the Geriatrics department on the Molière Longchamp site

A Nurse (m/f/x)

For a permanent full-time or part-time contract (80%)

What does the job consist of?

As a geriatric nurse, you provide comprehensive nursing care. You use patience and empathy to inform and support patients and their loved ones. You know how to adapt to all situations and you know how to manage emergencies. You are able to apply appropriate communication techniques (e.g. in case of dementia). You are in good physical condition and you master handling and ergonomic techniques. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal follow-up.

Your mission is to maintain, improve or restore the health, well-being and increase the autonomy of geriatric patients.

· Use the devices and materials specific to the geriatric department (prostheses, orthoses, substitute equipment);

· Ensuring the well-being of patients (comfort, hygiene, food, etc.);

· Integrate the notion of Quality of Life into your approach to the elderly.

⦁ You will be supervised by Laure Kamgaing, head nurse and Solange Uwisoni, deputy head nurse

⦁ The unit is composed of 9 nurses, 7 nursing assistants and 1 logistics assistant.

⦁ You will work on the Molière Longchamp site in Forest.

How about we talk about you?

Your training:

· You are in possession of a Bachelor's degree in nursing stamped and registered by the Medical Commission of Brabant

· You have the legal title of specialization in geriatrics.

· If you are in possession of a nursing certificate and have experience in geriatrics, you are also welcome.

Your experience and knowledge:

⦁ You already have experience or are you looking for a first or new experience

⦁ Experience in geriatrics is an asset.

⦁ You have a good knowledge of Dutch: You are able to understand the patient's needs and communicate with your colleagues

Your skills:

· You know how to manage your time and priorities in order to ensure optimal patient follow-up.

· You are autonomous in your work, you also enjoy working in a team and have a sense of collaboration.

· You are discreet, act with integrity and respect confidentiality.

You are flexible, you will work 5 days a week (from Monday to Sunday) with hours between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. (+night shifts).

· Your physical condition allows you to ensure the best possible handling of the elderly.

· You have an affinity with geriatrics and you enjoy follow-up beyond the hospital (nursing home, home care, etc.)

Remuneration on the basis of the IFIC scales (category 14 or 14b), with resumption of seniority:

⦁ Min: cat 14 = €3313.66 (index: 2.1223) or cat 14b = €3063.71 (index: 2.1223)

⦁ Max: cat 14 = €5234.62 (index 2.1223) or cat 14b = €4661.93 (index: 2.1223)
