A Nursing Assistant (m/f/x)

Under a part-time permanent contract (80%)

 

What does the job consist of?

Unit T31 is a 26-bed infectious oncology medicine unit. As a nursing assistant, you work closely with a multidisciplinary team of nurses, logistics assistants, secretaries, doctors, dieticians, physiotherapists, social workers and students.

You assist the nurse in the areas of care, patient education and logistics, and carry out the acts delegated to you, in compliance with the legislation in force. You contribute to a comprehensive, humane and safe care of each patient. Thanks to your sense of observation and your ability to listen, you identify and communicate to the nurse any relevant information relating to the patient's condition.

The T31 is a pilot unit of the C.A.R.E UP! project, in which the organization of care work has been rethought in order to better distribute the workload and enhance the skills of each person. As such, you actively participate in the organization of the day and in the consultation within the team.

Your main missions include:

·      Checking and preparing care trolleys;

·      Taking parameters and carrying out delegated acts;

·      Particular attention paid to hygiene, comfort and well-being of patients.

Your manager, your team and your environment

·      You will be supervised by Anne Spillebout, head nurse and Mélisandre Vander Elst, deputy head nurse

·      You will join a team of 18 people made up of nurses, nursing assistants, logistics assistants and secretaries.

·      You work in unit T31 at our Etterbeek-Ixelles site located at Rue Jean Paquot 63 in Ixelles.

Your education

·      You are in possession of the nursing assistant diploma stamped and registered by the Brabant Medical Commission. Training in the 23 delegated acts is compulsory.

Your experiences and knowledge

·      A first experience in a care unit is an asset but young graduates are also welcome.

·      You have a good knowledge of Dutch: You are able to understand the patient's needs and communicate with your colleagues

·      Professional commitment and sense of humanity: You demonstrate a real commitment to the overall care of the patient, placing his or her well-being, dignity and comfort at the center of each care and support intervention.

·      Sense of responsibility and work organization: You assume your responsibilities in the provision of care, the maintenance of the unit and the logistical follow-up, by effectively organizing your daily tasks in order to contribute to the continuity and quality of care.

·      Initiative and effective time management: You anticipate the needs of the department, take appropriate initiatives in the context of your function (care, logistics, hygiene), and manage your time efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.

·      Sense of welcome, respect and diplomacy: You greet patients with kindness and professionalism, adopt a respectful and reassuring attitude, and demonstrate diplomacy in your interactions with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.

·      Rigour, precision and efficiency in the execution of tasks: You carry out care, technical acts, maintenance tasks and administrative follow-up methodically, precisely and quickly, while respecting health and safety protocols and standards.

·      Discretion, integrity and respect for confidentiality: You strictly respect professional secrecy and the confidentiality of patient information, demonstrate ethics and reliability in the maintenance and sharing of information in the patient file.

Remuneration on the basis of the IFIC scales (category 11), with resumption of seniority:

·      Min.: 2835.18€ (index: 2.1223)

·      Max: 3630,17€ (index: 2,1223)
