2 Emergency Nurses - SIAMU (m/f/x)

Under a full-time permanent contract

What does the job consist of?

As a nurse in the emergency department, you provide first aid to patients in order to stabilize them. Your resistance to stress and your organization allow you to set priorities for care. You assist the emergency doctor and know how to take initiative when needed. You have good computer skills that allow you to ensure encoding in our Xcare program and take care of patient admission. You carry out your mission while respecting confidentiality.

Our emergency department at the Molière site also has intensive care beds.

·      Make a nursing diagnosis in order to estimate the degree of urgency;

·      Collaborate with the care and medical team within the unit and the various departments;

·      Providing high-tech patient care

·      You will be supervised by Tangi Le Houérou, head nurse,

·      You will join a team of about twenty people, including nurses and administrative assistants.

·      You will work at the Urgences de Molière located Rue Marconi 142 in Forest.

How about we talk about you?

Your training:

·      You are in possession of a Bachelor's degree (or diploma) in Nursing, stamped and registered by the Medical Commission of Brabant.

·      You specialise in Intensive Care and Emergency Medical Assistance (SIAMU). Failing that, you have significant experience in an Emergency Department.

Your experience and knowledge:

·      Ideally, you already have a first experience in an emergency department, but juniors are also welcome.

·      Experience in an intensive care unit is also an asset.

·       You have a good knowledge of Dutch: You are able to understand the patient's needs and communicate with your colleagues

Your skills:

·      Autonomy and team spirit in the management of emergencies, in collaboration with the medical and nursing teams.

·      Initiative and sense of responsibility in critical situations.

·      Organization, rigor and priority management in a high-intensity environment.

·      Empathy and relational quality with patients and their loved ones.

·      Alertness and clinical precision, attention to parameters and details.

·      Strict compliance with confidentiality and the ethical framework.

·      Ability to adapt and manage stress effectively , you are able to maintain efficiency, discernment and composure in individual or collective emergency situations

Working time: 100% (80% also possible)

Opening hours: Varied – mainly between 7 am and 8:30 pm

What does the recruitment process look like?

·      A phone interview with the recruiter, about 40 minutes

·      An interview with the head nurse and the head nurse of the department, about 40 minutes.
