An Occupational Therapist (m/f/x)
Under a fixed-term contract, part-time (26h36/week)
What the job consists of
As an Occupational Therapist, your mission will be to ensure the therapeutic care of hospitalized patients with various pathologies in the field of continuing care. In this context, your mission will be to promote the well-being of the patient, to accompany him or her both in maintaining his or her physical, cognitive and sensorimotor abilities and in maintaining his or her complete autonomy as possible within his or her social and family environment.
You will work in geriatrics as well as in geriatric liaison within a multidisciplinary team (nurses, nursing assistants, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, dieticians, doctors). You will be part of a team of 4 occupational therapists.
Specifically, you:
· Assess patients' cognitive and physical abilities
· Evaluate patients' lifestyle habits and define disability situations
· Facilitate patient groups for capacity maintenance
· Support, inform and advise the family and friends in the context of the patient's life project and return home
· Describe your care via the computerized patient record
· Raising awareness, informing and educating patients about home adaptations

Your education
· You hold a bachelor's degree (diploma) in occupational therapy.
Experience
· If you have 2 years' experience as an occupational therapist in geriatrics and geriatric liaison, this is an asset, but recent graduates are welcome.
· You have good knowledge in the management of patients with a geriatric profile, group care and geriatric check-ups.
· You have a good knowledge of Dutch: You are able to understand the patient's needs and communicate with your colleagues.
· Your computer knowledge allows you to ensure optimal follow-up of files.

· Dynamic, you like to take initiative
· Autonomous in your work, you also enjoy working in a team and have a sense of collaboration
· You express yourself clearly both in writing and orally
· You practice active listening
· You are discreet and confidential
We offer you:
· Type of contract: 7-month fixed-term contract (until 31/12/2026)
· Working time: 70% (26h26/week)
· Working hours: Part-time work (8 a.m. to 4 p.m.) will be spread over three and a half days – days to be discussed.

Gross remuneration on the basis of the IFIC scales (category 14), with resumption of seniority:
· Min: €3379.86 (index: 2.1647)
· Max: €5339.19 (index 2.1647)
