Job description

💪 Your mission:

You will act as the strategic right-hand man of our IT manager. This role provides significant flexibility and autonomy in designing comprehensive technology solutions that align with our business goals and environmental mission.

The ideal candidate is a technology generalist with a broad view of our entire application landscape, from our core Azure infrastructure to external systems, someone who brings pragmatic wisdom and can act as a sounding board, but does not fall into tunnel vision.

👉 Your responsibilities:

  1. Strategic partnership:

    1. Acting as the strategic right hand of the IT manager, providing trusted advice on technology decisions

    2. Serving as a pragmatic sounding board, constructively challenging IT management, developers and business stakeholders when necessary

    3. Designing comprehensive system architectures and technical architectures that address specific business problems

    4. Maintaining and developing our entire application and technology landscape, ensuring that systems remain current and strategically aligned

    5. Co-developing technology roadmaps with IT management

  2. Business alignment and technical leadership:

    1. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand, challenge, and refine complex requirements when necessary

    2. Translating business needs into technical specifications with practical consideration of constraints

    3. Leading architectural design sessions and providing technical guidance across all platforms

    4. Coordinating integration strategies between various systems and applications

    5. Monitoring technology trends and assessing their relevance to our application portfolio

  3. Project management and communication

    1. Checking project budgets and presenting technical proposals to stakeholders

    2. Creating comprehensive technical documentation and architecture diagrams

    3. Clearly communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical target groups

    4. Monitoring development progress and ensuring alignment with solution goals

Profile

🚀 Expertise:

  • You have at least a bachelor's degree in applied computer science, information technology, or a related field.

  • Ideally, you already have 5 years of experience in a similar role and have experience in technical leadership or architecture roles

  • You are fluent in Dutch and French for optimal cooperation between teams and have a thorough knowledge of English

  • You have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and solution-oriented methodologies

  • Strong Microsoft Azure expertise and a broad technology perspective outside the Azure ecosystem

  • Experience with Enterprise Architecture frameworks, API development and integration technologies
