Solution Architect

💪 Your mission:

You act as the strategic right-hand man of our IT manager. This role provides considerable flexibility and autonomy in designing comprehensive technology solutions that align with our business goals and environmental mission.

The ideal candidate is a technology generalist with a broad view of our entire application landscape, from our core Azure infrastructure to external systems, someone who brings pragmatic wisdom and can act as a sounding board, but doesn't fall into a narrow vision.

👉 Your responsibilities:

1. Strategic Partnership:

   1. Work as a sparring partner of the IT manager: reflect, advise and question technology decisions in a constructive way

   2. Design and monitor a cohesive, forward-looking IT architecture

   3. Help shape the technology roadmap and ensure our application landscape remains up-to-date and strategically aligned.

2. Business alignment and technical leadership

   1. Translating business needs into feasible and sustainable solutions in collaboration with stakeholders

   2. Lead architecture sessions and provide guidance to development teams

   3. Ensure seamless integration between systems and applications

   4. Monitor new technologies and assess their added value for the organization

3. Project Management & Communication

   1. Support projects with technical expertise, from design to delivery

   2. Communicate clearly on complex technical topics, even to non-technical colleagues

   3. Write clear documentation and proposals that provide insight into choices and impact

   4. Monitoring of the progress, quality and budgets of technical solutions

🚀 Expertise:

• You have at least a bachelor's degree in applied computer science, information technology, or a related field.

• Ideally, you already have 5 years of experience in a similar role and have experience in technical leadership or architecture roles

• You are fluent in Dutch and French for optimal cooperation between teams and have a thorough understanding of English

• You have a deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and solution-oriented methodologies

• Strong Microsoft Azure expertise and a broad technology perspective beyond the Azure ecosystem

• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks, API development, and integration technologies
