Nurse for the geriatric unit (M/F/X)

🌟The acute geriatric ward welcomes patients over 75 years old with multi-pathology and unstable profiles.

With a minimum stay of 10 days, the goal is clear: establish a global diagnosis and build a genuine personalized care plan, in close connection with the patient and their entourage.

The unit works in constant coordination with several key services:

• emergency,
• intensive care,
• the geriatric day hospital

This is a rapidly evolving service at the heart of current demographic challenges. Acute geriatrics is more than ever a service of the future. 

💼 Your daily role:

As a nurse, you play a central role in the comprehensive care of the patient:

• You actively participate in developing the therapeutic project by bringing your clinical perspective.
• Your clinical judgment allows you to daily adjust care according to the patient's evolution.
• You engage in a genuine dynamic of interdisciplinary collaboration.
• Vous réalisez des soins techniques adaptés à la fragilité gériatrique, nécessitant précision et dextérité :
  
  • VAC
  • complex dressings
  • tube management
  • central lines
  • capped catheters
  • You actively participate in patient mobilization, which is essential for their recovery.

👤Requirements:

• You hold a bachelor's degree in nursing (A1), a brevet (A2), or a diploma equivalence issued by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation 
• You have a perfect knowledge of French (B2 level)

• Notions of Dutch and English
