As a Database Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, implementation, management, and optimization of database management systems within the company. Your main responsibilities will include:
Database Design 🧩
- Participate in the design and modeling of databases in collaboration with development teams.
- Develop efficient, normalized database schemas that meet application needs.
Implementation and Maintenance ⚙️
- Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS), such as MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.
- Ensure the availability, security, and integrity of data stored in databases.
Performance Optimization 🚦
- Monitor database performance and implement adjustments to ensure rapid query response.
- Collaborate with development teams to optimize queries and improve overall system performance.
Data Security 🔐
- Implement robust security mechanisms to protect sensitive data.
- Manage database access rights and ensure compliance with security standards.
Backup and Recovery 💾
- Develop effective backup strategies and ensure data recovery in the event of an incident.
- Regularly test backup and recovery procedures.
Documentation 📚
- Maintain comprehensive database documentation, including structure, stored procedures, and configurations.
- Train users and team members on the effective use of databases

Profile
🎓 Required Qualifications and Experience
- Degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in database administration
- In-depth knowledge of MS-SQL: writing SQL queries, performance optimization, data migration, scheduled task management
- Good knowledge of Windows and/or Linux operating systems
- Basic skills in server management (Windows and Linux), hypervisors (vmWare, XenServer), and storage units
- Ability to actively and effectively participate in a conversation in English
- Availability to provide on-call and shift coverage
