Job description
As a legal expert in tax law, you will work under the responsibility of the Secretary General and join our legal team attached to the General Management
Your main missions are as follows:
Advise the organization on taxation in a complex environment (multi-regime VAT, taxation of non-profit organizations and cooperatives, support the security of transactions between entities)
To disseminate a common and shared tax culture to all employees.
Specifically:
You will support the management in defining and carrying out its tax commitments and structuring operations between the various entities;
You ensure the role of privileged interlocutor with external experts;
You advise the management on the handling of specific cases in the areas of VAT, corporate tax, intra-group taxation, withholding taxes and tax audits
You will feed the tax watch : joint information, capitalization of files and analyses, update of tax matters impacting Smart;
You act as a relay person and mediator between members, entities and tax authorities;
You will design and lead training courses on Belgian taxation and on specific themes (VAT, corporate tax, intra-group taxation, cooperatives, non-profit organisations, etc.).
Profile
Master's degree in law or 3rd cycle in law;
Minimum 10 years ' experience as a lawyer, including 5 years in tax law in a company or law firm;
In-depth knowledge of Belgian tax law and a good knowledge of business law;
Excellent understanding of the functioning of the tax administration, its procedures, and control and litigation mechanisms;
Perfect command of French and with a good knowledge of English (B2minimum);
Analytical skills and good ability to synthesize;
Sense of rigor, organization and method;
Ability to adapt even in emergency situations;
A good communicator, you also know how to demonstrate quality active listening.
