Who we are

The non-profit organisation Un Toit à Soi (UTAS) is part of the association Les Petits Riens, a recognised player in the social economy and social action in Brussels. Approved and subsidized by COCOM, UTAS helps more than 100 homeless people each year to access sustainable housing and to build new stability in a sustainable way. 🏡

Our team supports beneficiaries in their psychosocial, budgetary and administrative procedures, in close collaboration with AISs and social housing companies.

 👉 Your mission

As Director of UTAS, you are both a team leader and a visionist. Under the supervision of the Director of Social Actions, you will ensure the proper functioning and development of the service. You will also collaborate with the other directors of social actions in order to develop the coherence and efficiency of the department's organization.

 In concrete terms, you:

  • Organize and support the work of the team, made up of 7 social workers, an administrative employee and a worker

  • In consultation with your team, develop an educational project for UTAS that is consistent with the orientations of social actions, and you ensure that it is applied.

  • Collaborate on the development of a social strategy adapted to the needs of the beneficiaries with your fellow directors of social actions.

  • Represent UTAS with institutional and associative partners, and actively participate in Brussels networks.

  • Supervise administrative and financial management : grants, budgets, activity reports.

  • Be a source of proposals to innovate in home support and anticipate social developments.

Profile

  • Higher education with a social orientation (bachelor's/master's degree) 🎓

  • Successful experience in team management and support for vulnerable groups

  • Good knowledge of the Brussels social sector and housing-related schemes

  • Ability to combine administrative rigour and strategic 📝 vision

  • Excellent interpersonal skills: caring listeners, assertive communication and the ability to manage conflict

  • Fluency in French (oral and written) + basics in Dutch

  • Comfortable with computer tools (Office 365) 💻

  • Available immediately 📆
