Context

Les Petits Riens is a social economy enterprise active in the collection, sorting and sale of second-hand goods. These activities are also platforms for support and socio-professional integration for people who have moved away from the job market or who want to invest their time in our mission to fight poverty and social exclusion. 

The textile sorting department processes nearly 6000 tonnes of textiles every year. About fifty people sort the collected clothes in order to either sell them (in our stores or in B2B) or send them for recycling.

To complete this team, we are looking for a forklift operator – press worker for a replacement contract. 📆

👉 Your missions
Ensure the handling, internal transport, loading/unloading of goods and baling of garments using adapted equipment (Clark, presses), in compliance with safety, productivity and quality instructions.

👉 Main tasks

  • Drive the forklift (Clark) for moving, loading and unloading goods

  • Organize the flow of goods and plan the sequence of tasks

  • Weighing, encoding and recording goods

  • Press and bale garments for shipping

  • Identify, mark and store bales according to internal procedures

  • Follow safety instructions related to Clark driving and presses

  • Participate in multi-purpose tasks (triage) as needed

Profile

👩 🏫 Formation:

  • Certificate of basic and/or secondary vocational/lower education

  • Forklift operator's certificate (Clark)

🔨 Technical skills:

  • Proficiency in Clark and Press Driving

  • Ability to organize and rationally arrange goods

😊 Personal Skills:

  • Good physical constitution, stamina and sustained attention

  • Compliance with productivity standards and internal procedures

  • Courtesy, self-control and teamwork skills

  • Punctuality, regularity and adaptability

  • No medical contraindication to dust (second-hand goods)

  • Versatility

  • Full-time replacement contract (38h45/week) 

  • Schedule: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Friday ⏰

  • Salary defined according to the scales of Les Petits Riens.

  • Meal vouchers of €8 per day of service

  • Clothing allowance of €1.72 per day of service

  • 6 days of extra-legal leave per year

  • Hospitalisation insurance after one year of service 

  • The reimbursement of 100% of public transport or a sectoral flat rate if you come by car (home-work) or €0.35/km if you come by bike/scooter.
