CERTISYS is an expert control body in sustainable certifications (BIO, Cosmos, Rainforest Alliance, ...), pioneer in organic certification in Belgium, active in the Benelux for more than 30 years. We are part of the Ecocert group, the world leader in organic food and cosmetics certification, which adds an international dimension to our truly local roots.

To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for a (m/f/x) Certifier (Sustainable certifications: BIO, ...)

YOUR POSITION

Within a team of 7 people and based on a quality system (ISO 17065), you will be responsible for the management of files related to the certification of companies selling organic products, mainly in Flanders, Wallonia and Brussels.

In concrete terms, you are responsible for:

You make decisions regarding the continuity of organic certification: Based on a good knowledge of the regulations, you identify the seriousness of the non-conformities, evaluate the corrective actions, make decisions and record them in a database.
You will draft letters to French-speaking and Dutch-speaking customers to explain the certification decisions;
You ensure that the flow of information is optimal to develop and maintain the expertise of the company and of the department;
You check licence applications for the import of organic products into the EU (TRACES);
You will develop proposals regarding deviations from the production regulations;
Together with the person in charge, you will participate in technical meetings with the customers/partners.

Profile

You have at least a Bachelor's degree with a scientific orientation;
You express yourself in both French and Dutch (oral and written);
Ideally, you are familiar with the regulations on organic farming and you have an affinity for the agricultural environment;
You are an analytical, rigorous and critical person;
You have a very good ability to work in a team and like to be an agent of change;
You like to provide solutions to new problems;
You are comfortable with legal texts and understand the importance of organic certification.
