(Senior) Functional Analyst

We are looking for an experienced Senior Functional Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions at Fost Plus. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional capable of analyzing business processes, defining functional requirements, and working closely with development teams to ensure successful system implementations.

Requirements Analysis & Documentation

• Analyze and document detailed functional requirements while ensuring complete alignment with company objectives

• Create comprehensive functional specifications, use cases (or user stories), and process flow diagrams

• Define system behavior, business rules, and functional workflows

• Draft requests for proposals (RFPs) and participate in the selection of external vendors and solutions

• Establish and maintain lasting relationships with vendors and ensure follow-up on contractual agreements

System Analysis & Testing

• Analyze existing systems and applications to identify improvement opportunities

• Work actively in collaboration with other analysts, architects, and the Cloud & Security team to align solutions with overall IT needs

• Design and execute functional test scenarios as well as acceptance criteria

• Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and manage issue resolution

Stakeholder Collaboration & Support

• Maintain proactive contact with the business units to stay informed about the latest developments

• Facilitate requirements workshops and functional design sessions

• Act as a liaison between end users, developers, and technical teams

• Support the transition to production (go-live) and ensure a smooth knowledge transfer to the Service Desk

• Provide second-line support for implemented solutions

• Break down complex problems into manageable components and identify root causes

• Maintain precision in documentation while keeping the big picture in mind

• Translate technical concepts for business audiences and vice versa

• Find creative solutions that balance business needs with technical constraints

• Build consensus among diverse groups with competing priorities

• Work responsibly and independently, adapting flexibly to change

• Coach junior analysts to follow streamlined procedures

🚀 Expertise :

• You hold at least a bachelor’s degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field.

• Ideally, you have 8 years of experience as a functional analyst or in a similar role

• You have experience and/or certification in notation frameworks such as BPMN, UML, or equivalent

• You are fluent in Dutch and French and have a thorough knowledge of English for technical documentation

• Strong understanding of functional analysis methodologies and best practices

• Knowledge of SQL, data modeling, and system integration concepts

• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Azure DevOps, Confluence, and Jira
