Job description

As a Finance Tools Functional Expert, you will report to the Finance department, you will play a key role in the functional administration of the Finance tools and ensure the interface between the business teams, IT and external partners. You will support the teams in the management and evolution of financial tools, data, reporting and processes, ensuring their quality, reliability and performance. You will thus contribute to the operational continuity of the department and its transformation, by identifying opportunities for improvement, automation and process optimization.

On a daily basis: 

  • You will administer and manage Finance tools and applications to ensure performance, reliability, adequacy to business needs and operational continuity.

  • You provide functional support to users : you analyze, document, prioritize and follow up on requests and incidents until they are resolved, and take charge of actions within the functional scope (access management, configuration, repositories, analytical structures, first-level controls, etc.).

  • You coordinate interventions with IT and external partners, ensuring the follow-up of requests and developments, from their expression to their production.

  • You support users in the adoption of Finance solutions, in particular through training, the dissemination of best practices and the drafting and updating of functional documentation and procedures.

  • You ensure the quality, consistency and integrity of Finance data, by setting up and monitoring appropriate controls and indicators, identifying anomalies, analyzing their causes and coordinating corrective actions, while contributing to the department's data governance.

  • You will identify and implement opportunities to improve, simplify and automate finance processes, tools, reporting and data production, by proposing pragmatic solutions to improve the quality and use of financial information.

  • You collect and translate the needs of finance teams into clear functional requirements for IT and external partners, while challenging existing practices and proposing relevant solutions for data processing, analysis and visualization.

  • You will contribute to the transformation projects of the Finance department, in particular in the context of the replacement of accounting tools, the deployment of a budget solution, the optimization of reporting and Business Intelligence tools and the automation of financial processing, from needs analysis to deployment, testing and change management.

Profile

  • You have a bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Management, Business Informatics or a similar field.

  • You ideally have 3 to 5 years of experience in a functional support function, functional analyst, super user/key user or tool management, ideally in a Finance environment.

  • You have a good understanding of Finance processes and issues, particularly in accounting, management control, budgeting, reporting or purchasing, as well as their translation into information tools and systems.

  • You have a perfect command of Excel and are comfortable with digital tools and application solutions. Experience with accounting, budgeting, reporting or Business Intelligence tools is an important asset.

  • You are comfortable in analyzing, diagnosing and solving problems and know how to provide front-line functional support in an autonomous, structured and solution-oriented manner. You are also able to collect and formalize business needs and write clear and structured functional documentation.

  • You combine a real affinity for tools and data with a strong interest in continuous improvement. You like to structure information, identify optimization opportunities and evolve processes and solutions in a pragmatic way.

  • You are recognized for your sense of service, your interpersonal skills and your ability to collaborate with various interlocutors from Finance, IT and external partners. You know how to communicate effectively, support users and promote the adoption of new tools and working methods.

  • You are autonomous, rigorous, proactive and pragmatic, with a good analytical and synthesis mind. Curious and results-oriented, you know how to prioritize topics, move projects forward in a collaborative manner and contribute concretely to the transformation and improvement of Finance activities.
