Job description
🌟The acute geriatric unit welcomes patients over 75 years of age, with polypathological and unstable profiles.
With a minimum stay of 10 days, the objective is clear: to make a global diagnosis and build a real personalized care project, in close collaboration with the patient and his or her family.
The unit works in constant coordination with several key services:
- emergencies,
- intensive care,
- The Geriatric Day Hospital
It is a rapidly evolving service, at the heart of current demographic issues. Acute geriatrics is more than ever a service of the future.
💼 Your day-to-day role:
As a nurse, you play a central role in the overall care of the patient:
- You actively participate in the development of the therapeutic project, by bringing your clinical perspective.
- Your clinical judgment allows you to adjust care on a daily basis according to the patient's progress.
- You are part of a real dynamic of interdisciplinary collaboration.
- You will provide technical care adapted to geriatric fragility, requiring precision and dexterity:
- VAC
- Complex dressings
- Probe Management
- Center Channels
- Capped catheters
- You actively participate in the mobilization of patients, which is essential to their recovery.
Profile
👤Conditions:
- You hold a bachelor's degree (A1), a certified (A2) nursing diploma or a diploma equivalence provided by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation
- You have a perfect knowledge of French (level B2)

- Specialization in geriatrics
- Notions of Dutch and English
