Job description
👉 Your responsibilities as Accounting Treasurer:
You perform all treasury-related tasks to ensure that incoming and outgoing payments are executed on a daily basis.
You will monitor accounts and reconciliations or specific entries and participate in the various monthly, quarterly and annual closings.
You post bank statements and cash transactions.
You ensure the availability (and short-term forecasting) of cash and bank accounts via accounting or treasury tools in order to be able to make daily payments to third parties, internal customers, employees or members.
You establish schedules and ensure compliance with them and incoming and outgoing payment deadlines in collaboration with the process managers in order to limit financial penalties both for the production of the core business and for administrative costs.
You identify inconsistencies related to payments not recognized by the system and investigate by contacting various internal and/or external parties in the interest of the members.
You will participate in the development of the cash flow plan aimed at establishing long-term forecasts of receipts and disbursements.
Profile
You have a Bachelor's degree in accounting (or equivalent by experience).
You have at least 3 years of experience in Finance, preferably in Treasury.
A good knowledge of the mutual insurance sector and its regulatory and accounting specificities is an asset.
You are change-oriented, with a critical mind and a desire for continuous improvement.
You are able to manage your stress during periods of high activity and have an ability to maintain a high level of quality and rigor, even in an emergency.
You are autonomous in the organization of your work and are able to manage priorities and move forward proactively
A good knowledge of excel is a plus.
