Context

Les Petits Riens is a social economy enterprise whose mission is to support people in difficulty so that they gain autonomy in a sustainable way.
The Petits Riens group is made up of 6 legal entities, which allow it to fulfil its missions of social economy, accommodation and reception of people in precarious situations.

 The Les Petits Riens group, governed by its Fondation d'Utilité Publique Les Petits Riens (LPR), is administered by the General Management.

To assist our Managing Director, we are looking for a Deputy Managing Director.

 📌 Main missions of the position

The position is based in Brussels, with occasional trips to Belgium.

You will report directly to the General Manager and will actively contribute to the development of the organization.

The Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DGA) assists the Chief Executive Officer in the strategic, operational and human management of the "Les Petits Riens " group. He/she actively contributes to the implementation of the group's social mission while ensuring the overall performance of its activities (social economy, social actions, real estate, communication, marketing, etc.) and ensures, in the event of absence, the replacement of the CEO.

👉 Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic and operational support

  • Participate in the development and monitoring of the group's strategic plan

  • Coordinate the implementation of the most important strategic cross-functional projects and ensure reporting to the management committee

  • Manage and support certain departments (HR, Real Estate, organization, marketing, etc.)

  • Implement and monitor performance and quality indicators, ensure reporting to the CEO, the management committee and the Board of Directors

  • Implement a culture and internal control tools, in conjunction with the 1st line services

2. Human Resources Management

  • Supervise certain teams and their line managers

  • Participate in the definition of the HR policy in line with the group's values

  • Contribute to an organizational culture that is inclusive, caring, socially impact-oriented and guided by the pursuit of excellence and performance

3. Institutional and partnership relations

  • Represent the group's entities with certain external partners (public, private and federations)

  • Develop synergies with other actors in the economy (social or not) and the voluntary sector

4. Continuous improvement and innovation

  • Identify areas for improvement of internal processes

  • Encouraging social and economic innovation in the group's activities

  • Supporting organizational change and project management

Profile

🎓 Skills and qualifications

  • Master's degree in management, social sciences, economics, non-profit management or equivalent

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience, including 5 years in a management position, ideally as CEO or GM

  • Experience in the voluntary sector, the social economy or socio-professional integration is a plus

  • Strong human, strategic and budgetary management capacity

  • Experience in contact with the regional and/or federal political world

Interpersonal skills

  • Strong adherence to the values of solidarity, human dignity and sustainable development

  • Collaborative leadership and listening skills

  • Proactivity, rigor and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams

  • Excellent oral and written communication (FR mandatory, professional proficiency in NL and/or EN)
