Context

At Les Petits Riens, we have been fighting precariousness and social inequalities in Belgium, particularly in Brussels, for more than 85 years.

The Centre d'accueil Social Abbé Froidure (CASAF) is a front-line social service accessible to anyone seeking social assistance. The CASAF is located in the lower part of Forest.

The CASAF offers an initial reception, an analysis of the situation, as well as support or referral to specialised services according to needs. It consists of five main services:

  1.  CAP: Socio-administrative follow-up.

  2. Legal aid: Information on rights and obligations, support in the process, and guidance if necessary.

  3. Debt mediation: Follow-up and support in debt management.

  4. L'Aire de Rien : day care centre for people in precarious situations

  5. Syner Santé : Mobile team in mental health and addiction

In this context, we are looking for a Social Worker for the Centre d'Aide aux Personnes (CAP) for a part-time fixed-term contract until 31/12/2025. 📆

Missions

Under the responsibility of the Director and the coordinator of the CAP, you will be assigned a mission: to ensure social services and individual support for the beneficiaries.

👉 Tasks

  • To provide individual interviews/follow-ups and social services for our beneficiaries

  • Reception of beneficiaries

  • Accompany CASAF users and ensure administrative follow-ups of files.

  • Participate in team dynamics during meetings

  • Collaborate with partner 🤝 networks

  • Develop and share observations, hypotheses and avenues of work for target audiences

  • To ensure a pleasant and safe environment and welcome to users by guaranteeing respect for people, ethics and professional secrecy

Profile

  • You have an A1 diploma in the social sector: educator, social worker, psychology 🎓 assistant

  • You have work experience in the social sector, in particular in individual socio-administrative support with people in precarious situations

  • You speak and write French perfectly. Knowledge of Dutch is a serious asset

  • You are looking for the best possible social intervention for the benefit of the beneficiary and therefore demonstrate qualities such as active listening, empathy, teamwork, administrative rigor

  • You adhere to the values of solidarity, respect and transparency defended by Les Petits Riens and to the CASAF reception project

  • A fixed-term 0.5 FTE  contract until 31/12/25 (19h/week)

  • Remuneration according to the COCOM scales of CP 330.02

  • Group insurance

  • 0.5 day of extra-legal leave (non-profit leave) per quarter

  • 100% free commuting or €0.35/km by bike/scooter or a flat rate; by car (not recommended given the problems of parking on the street)
