Job description

On a full-time or part-time permanent contract
As part of the development of our K41 unit – neurological rehabilitation on the Molière Longchamp site, we are recruiting nurses wishing to work in this field.
What does the job consist of?
As a nurse, you provide tailored care to patients on the unit to maintain, improve or restore their health, well-being and independence.
The neurological rehabilitation unit welcomes patients with chronic pathologies and long periods of hospitalization. The work may be considered physically demanding due to the limited mobility of the patients, but it is carried out with the support of adapted handling equipment.
● Provide care to the patient: technical nursing acts, monitoring of parameters, preparation of medication according to medical prescription, assisting the doctor, hygiene and comfort care, etc.
● Educate and assist the patient in the activities of daily living
● Ensure quality monitoring: record patient data, parameters and procedures performed (e.g., the Di-RHM)
Unit K41 is a 24-bed neurological rehabilitation unit. As a nursing assistant, you work closely with a multidisciplinary team consisting of nursing assistants, logistics assistants, secretaries, doctors, dieticians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers and students.
Neurological rehabilitation is an exciting but also demanding field. The pace can be sustained and the work quite heavy, it is better to arrive in good shape to start the day!

● You will be supervised by Nathalie Cambier, head nurse.
● The neurological rehabilitation unit is composed of a deputy head nurse, 14 nurses, 1 nursing assistant and 1 logistics assistant.
● You will work at our Molière Longchamp site located at Rue Marconi 142 in Forest.

Your education
● You are in possession of a bachelor's degree in nursing stamped and registered by the Brabant Medical Commission.
Experience
● You already have experience in neurological rehabilitation or you are looking for a first or new experience.
● Experience in internal medicine is an asset.
● You have a good knowledge of Dutch: You are able to understand the patient's needs and communicate with your colleagues.
Your skills
● You have good communication both with colleagues for sharing information and with patients. You maintain a caring communication even with patients with cognitive disorders.
● You are a teacher: You explain, encourage, motivate and support the patient in the rehabilitation process. You also involve the patient's relatives in the care.
● You like to work in a team and you have a sense of collaboration. You will follow up with the multidisciplinary team.
● You know how to stay calm and handle the situation appropriately even in an emergency.
● You are empathetic and attentive to your patients.

· Working time: Full-time (possibility of part-time, 80% minimum)
· Working hours: You work 5 days a week between Monday and Sunday with variable hours between 7 a.m. and 8:30 p.m. (+ possibly night shifts)
