Job description

Your mission:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Functional Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions at Fost Plus. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional who can analyze business processes, define functional requirements, and work closely with development teams to ensure successful system implementations.

👉 Your responsibilities:

Requirements Analysis & Documentation
1. Analyze and document detailed functional requirements, ensuring full alignment with business objectives
2. Creating comprehensive functional specifications, use cases (or user stories) and process flow diagrams
3. Defining system behavior, business rules and functional workflows
System Analysis & Testing
1. Analyzing existing systems and applications to identify opportunities for improvement
2. Design and execution of functional test scenarios and acceptance criteria
3. Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and manage defect resolution
Stakeholder cooperation & support
1. Proactively keep in touch with the business to stay on top of the latest developments
2. Facilitation of requirements workshops and functional design sessions
3. Acting as a liaison between business users, developers, and technical teams

Skills:

Break down complex problems into manageable components and identify root causes
Maintaining precision in documentation with an understanding of the bigger picture
Translating technical concepts for business audiences and vice versa
Finding creative solutions that balance business needs with technical constraints
Building consensus among diverse groups with competing priorities
Able to coach junior analysts to follow streamlined procedures
Being able to work responsibly and independently, dealing flexibly with change

🚀 Expertise:

You have at least a bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field.
Ideally, you already have 5 years of experience as a functional analyst or in a similar role
You have experience and/or certification in notation frameworks such as BPMN, UML or similar
You are fluent in Dutch and French and have a thorough knowledge of English for technical documentation
Strong understanding of functional analysis methodologies and best practices
Knowledge of SQL, data modeling and system integration concepts
Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and Azure DevOps, Confluence
