The company

3HR is recruiting a Fundraising & Communication Manager for an NGO in Brussels made up of a dozen committed employees. The NGO's mission is to improve access to and quality of pediatric specialty health care in developing countries.

Your dual role

As a strategic and operational pillar, and in close collaboration with the team, you will make the association known and promote to its various audiences via various communication channels.

At the same time, you will optimise fundraising (public, private/corporate and general public fundraising) which is essential to its ambitious objectives.

  • Together with the Management, you define and manage the Organization's communication strategy and break it down into specific objectives and action plans

  • You will directly and concretely implement this strategy and these action plans to optimise the Organisation's image, visibility and financial and human resources (volunteering, expertise, etc.)

  • With the team in charge of Operations, you will put together applications for institutional and corporate financing with a winning attractiveness, in terms of prospecting and loyalty; You will ensure their professional and rigorous follow-up for their sustainability and multiplication

  • You conceptualize, write, implement and/or monitor thematic awareness and fundraising campaigns in different formats, integrating originality and dynamism

  • You will animate our social networks in an exciting, targeted and professional way

  • You will manage, update and continuously optimize our website for our projects and our communication

  • You propose, write and energize the content of our various communication channels, in close collaboration with the program unit and the management, and in collaboration with the entire team

  • You propose and create the various communication media (presentation files, mailings, flyers, video supports, photos and dynamic and attractive graphics) and you ensure their most effective and attractive distribution

  • You track the performance of publications and content

  • You proactively and dynamically manage relations with supporters and donors and actively participate in the management of their data (in the CRM)

  • Together with the Management, you will manage contacts and relations with the media according to the needs, interests and opportunities of the Organization

  • In collaboration with the team in place, you will ensure the organization, coordination, development and follow-up of events already present within the NGO

  • You participate in the creation of new events

  • You will ensure the follow-up and possible support of events organized by third parties.

Profile

You are the person we are looking for if you have ...

  • Master's degree (or equivalent) in events, communication management, journalism or related field

  • Excellent oral and written knowledge of French (min. C1) and Dutch (min. C1). A good level of English (min. B1) will be an asset.

  • Minimum five years' professional experience in fundraising/crowdfunding/communication/event organization and/or related activities directly related to the job description

  • Excellent writing and communication skills, and a willingness to adapt your written and oral style to suit the topic, target audience and channel

  • Strong knowledge of the technical aspects of social platforms, knowledge of the main performance indicators to be monitored

  • Proficiency in graphic tools (inDesign, photoshop, ...) and software for video editing

  • Skills in site management (WordPress), both technical (backup, security, performance) and editorial (content updates: texts, images, videos)

  • Mastery of computer programs (Office suite, CRM, etc.)

  • Experience in the organization of events and/or in an activity within networks related to events or entrepreneurship

  • Knowledge of fundraising or fundraising platforms: fundraising or crowdfunding

  • In possession of a B licence

  • Contract: Permanent contract : Permanent contract for 4/5ths or 9/10ths or full-time

  • Working time: 38 hours/week (= 7h36/day) 100% face-to-face in Woluwé-Saint-Lambert

  • Paid annual leave: 20 legal days + 5 structural days for employers and 4 days of compensatory recovery for attendance at events

  • Remuneration:

    • Gross salary according to the scale of the CP 329.02 (step 4.1 or 4.2 depending on your profile)

    • Accompanied by the end-of-year bonus CP, double holiday pay, contribution to transport costs, mobile phone and company laptop

  • Workplace: pleasant and spacious setting, easily accessible by public transport, parking (resident's card)

  • You report to the Director of the NGO and work closely with the other members of the team

  4. Case studies to be carried out : the finalist candidates will be invited to present their case studies in the NGO's offices

  5. Final interview and delivery of an extract from the criminal record : last exchange with the management of the NGO on the contractual terms

  6. Start of the position : To be agreed upon according to your availability or notice, ideally as soon as possible. 🚀
