Job description

In addition to your role as an experienced scanner technologist, you are the guarantor of the good organization and efficiency of the service, in close collaboration with the referring secretary and the doctor in charge of the department.

You report to the department head, the administrator and the coordinator of technologists and nurses.

Job Objectives

  • To guarantee the continuity and quality of care in the scanner sector.
  • Adopt a responsible posture to ensure the daily management of the department (human resources, equipment, pharmacy).
  • Be an actor in the continuous improvement of the activity (efficiency and quality of care).
  • Maintain regular clinical activity in the department.

Key Responsibilities

Quality and safety

  • Ensure the quality control of examinations and the continuous improvement of practices (optimization of protocols) in collaboration with radiologists and the radiophysicist.
  • Ensuring the safety of patients and staff.

Material Resource Management

  • Manage the stocks of equipment, medical devices and products necessary for the scanner activity . 
  • Collaborate in equipment budget planning.

Indoor work

  • Carry out examinations and ensure the complete care of the patient, just like your colleagues.
  • Coordinate clinical research activities related to CT scanning. 

Team management and human resources

  • Foster a climate of collaboration and mutual support.
  • Manage the workforce in the short, medium and long term (schedules, holidays, replacements).
  • Welcome, train and support new employees.
  • Conduct evaluation interviews and identify training needs.

Communication and collaboration

  • Ensure fluid, regular and constructive communication with the team, hierarchy and partner departments
  • Actively participate in departmental meetings and institutional projects.

Profile

Skills and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in medical imaging (or equivalent).
  • Accreditation that meets the legal criteria for professional recognition.
  • Radiation safety certificate required.
  • Confirmed experience of 3 to 5 years in CT scanning.
  • Good knowledge of French, written comprehension of English and notions of Dutch.

  • Initiative.
