About the projects:

  • Harmonia is a European initiative (Horizon Europe – New European Bauhaus Facility) aimed at helping cities assess and adapt to climate change. As part of an international consortium, Fair Ground Brussels is leading a renovation pilot project for Belgium: the transformation of Nova Casa Vesta (Forest) into affordable, sustainable and inclusive social housing.

  • Reno-Hope is a project of the King Baudouin Foundation. The 2027 component consists of a pilot project on one of our buildings (Bonnevie), aimed at implementing and documenting innovative renovation practices, with a Low-tech perspective.

Your missions include:

Project management:

  • Participate in project governance and reporting.

  • Budget monitoring of projects, in coordination with the Administrative and Financial Manager.

  • Coordinate the implementation of technical documentation specific to the renovation project.

  • Contribute to study visits and workshops as part of a consortium.

  • Contribute to project-level toolkits, recommendations, and other deliverables.

Support tasks at Fair Ground Brussels:

  • Prospect for new project opportunities (especially European).

  • The list of tasks mentioned above is given as an indication and is likely to evolve depending on the candidate.

Profile

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field (architecture, urban planning, engineering sciences, humanities), or equivalent by experience.

  • Affinity with affordable housing, cooperative entrepreneurship and/or energy transition.

  • Open to travel for missions of a few days in Europe.

  • Experience in the operation of European projects (reporting, deliverables, consortium collaboration).

  • Fluency in English and French or Dutch. The practice of another European language will be considered an asset.

  • Ability to work independently within a small team, with an eye for detail and deadlines.

  • Basic knowledge of the technical aspects of renovation and energy performance is an asset.

Why apply?

  • A permanent contract (CDI), part-time or part-time.

  • Salary scale according to CP 319.01.

  • Meal vouchers of 8.00 euros per day worked.

  • 20 days of statutory leave for 1 FTE, 2 days of extra-legal leave and 5 additional days from the age of 35.

  • Reimbursement of commuting costs.

  • GSM subscription or intervention.

  • Flexible schedule and possibility of telecommuting.

  • Working environment within a committed team, in a cooperative with a social purpose.
