Fair Ground Brussels

In Brussels, access to dignified housing has become a privilege, even though it is a right enshrined in the constitution. The observation on the ground shows an inability of traditional models to absorb social demand. It is precisely to fill this void that Fair Ground Brussels was born.

Faced with a saturated public sector and a speculative private sector, we propose a third way: that of the social economy.

Fair Ground Brussels is an approved social housing cooperative, founded at the end of 2020 by about fifteen Brussels associations pursuing a common objective: to extract real estate from the market logic.

Our mission is to create housing for the most vulnerable people and affordable spaces for associative activities.

In 5 years of existence, Fair Ground Brussels has acquired 67 housing units and enabled 185 people to find dignified housing in permanent housing.
