Today, we are looking for a financing specialist for the Sustainable Property team, who will join our Brussels team on a permanent contract.
How will you make a difference:
As part of the team responsible for the follow-up of professional clients in the real estate sector, the Financing Specialist plays a support and execution role for the Relationship Managers and maintains contacts with the various stakeholders.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Portfolio risk reviews and financial analysis/structuring support:
Drafting of (review) proposals
Conducting Analyses: Financial Analysis; ability to identify risks, opportunities, impacts, and limitations; application of the lending criteria.
Ability to write clear and compact analyses: know how to get to the heart of things; readability; participation of the credit analyst; clear conclusions; logical reasoning
The Financing Specialist provides support in the structuring and financial analysis of new and more complex credit proposals. The loan proposal and the related negotiations are the responsibility of the Relationship Manager as a whole.
The Financing specialist helps the Relationship Manager to manage customer contacts for more complex cases and accompanies them in their visits to the customer/prospect.
Follow-up of credit documents:
Follow-up of the writing of the letter of credit after receiving the customer's agreement.
Monitoring of general, suspensive and special conditions and agreements.
Monitoring of construction sites in their construction phase (on-site visit, follow-up of invoices, works, etc.)

To succeed in this position, you will:
Hold a master's degree in finance, economics or law. You have a first relevant professional experience, ideally of at least 2 years, in credit activities for companies active in the real estate market
Easily and independently manage a multitude of tasks. However, you don't lose sight of the fact that you need to achieve your goals strictly and reliably within the given deadlines.
Develop a keen awareness of risks and be able to deal with business and financial issues.
Adopt clear points of view, with solid arguments.
Adapt easily to different clients and the scope of the cases.
Communicate in the interest of the financed projects and the bank and treat the various profiles of our contact persons with empathy.
Be a team player: you are flexible and adaptable.
Excellent knowledge of Dutch, French and English.
Who will you be working with?
You will report directly to the Middle Office Team Lead and work in collaboration with the other teams in the Business Banking department (Origination and Loan Administration). The Middle Office team is made up of 9 people.
