CFO & Administrative Manager
Job description
Ethiquable is a 15-person cooperative that designs, manufactures, and distributes fair trade and organic grocery products (coffee, tea, chocolate, spices, etc.). It is now entering a new phase with the launch of production and direct-to-consumer sales activities, particularly around its new chocolate factory.
Working in close collaboration with the coordination team, you will take charge of financial, administrative, HR, and legal functions.
Your challenge: structure these functions to enable the cooperative to scale up.
Your main missions:
Manage budgets, cash flow, and key performance indicators in collaboration with the accounting office
Build dashboards to monitor the profitability of each activity (distribution, production, B2C)
Prepare year-end closings and annual accounts, and seek out financing aligned with our values
Monitor legal files, contracts, and insurance with our law firm
Manage HR administration (salaries, contracts, onboarding and offboarding) with the social secretariat
Simplify and secure administrative processes during the company's transformation
Prepare financial information for the cooperative's participatory governance
Profile
The essentials:
At least 5 years of experience as an administrative and financial manager, ideally in an SME
Experience in the food sector, production, or distribution
Solid mastery of finance and accounting
Experience in HR administration and coordination of legal matters
Very good proficiency in Excel
Higher education degree in management, finance, economics, law, or equivalent
Bonus points:
Experience in a cooperative, social economy, or a company undergoing transformation
Knowledge of an ERP system, ideally Mercator
Knowledge of Dutch and/or English
Who you are: detail-oriented without being rigid, autonomous, and pragmatic. You know how to explain financial topics simply to non-specialists, and you enjoy building in an environment where everything is not yet set in stone. The values of fair trade resonate with you.
Why apply?
Full-time open-ended contract (40 hours per week)
Company car and other extralegal benefits
35 days of leave
Remote work possible after training
Opportunity to become a shareholder of the cooperative after 1 year
A cross-functional role with real influence on the company's development
A company owned by its employees, featuring participatory governance
