About the role:
We are looking for a Specialist KYC & FC Procedures Specialist - Liaison BE (Senior role) (0.8 – 1 FTE) to play a central role in bridging Belgian regulatory requirements with business needs in our Group-wide framework. You will use your deep expertise to ensure that our procedures are not only compliant, but also operationally efficient, providing both quick solutions and shaping our long-term approach.
👉 How you will make a difference:
Iteratively develop and refine the group's KYC & FC procedures, with a focus on the precise and continuous integration of the Belgian regulatory framework.
Act as a key liaison between the local Belgian teams and the wider Group. Defend local needs while aligning with the Group's standards and operational objectives.
Leverage your KYC and financial crime (FC) know-how to quickly provide expert advice and guidance on the application and implementation of procedures, query and issue resolution.
Use experience and knowledge to independently translate group and local regulatory requirements into clear, risk-based and effective KYC&FC procedures and instructions for operational teams.
Focus on the practical impact of procedures, ensuring that they are proportionate to the risks and achievable for sales teams, without compromising compliance. Be a connoisseur about KYC &FC in Belgium, but always consider your other stakeholders.
Build strong relationships and foster broad collaboration and alignment within the Triodos organisation inside and outside your department, for example with Belgian operations, compliance, legal, IT and other stakeholders. This is to ensure a flawless implementation and continuous improvement of our KYC & FC procedures.
Balancing immediate operational needs ("quick fixes") with the vision and design of robust, long-term solutions that improve operational efficiency and future-proof our processes to adapt to market and regulatory changes.
Profile
✨ What are you going to bring ?
Seniority and autonomy: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the KYC & FC industry, with a proven track record of designing and implementing procedures in complex and regulated environments.
In-depth Belgian and European legal knowledge : In-depth understanding of Belgian anti-money laundering laws, regulatory frameworks and best practices, complemented by experience with European requirements.
Ownership and experience : A flexible mindset and seniority and ability to prioritize various tasks allows you to effectively communicate these priorities to the relevant stakeholders.
Education and qualifications: Preferably, a bachelor's or master's degree and certifications that demonstrate in-depth knowledge in the field of KYC and financial crime (e.g., ACAMS/ICA) are an asset.
Language skills: Fluency in English and French or Dutch.

⭐ The team
You will join the KYC & FC Centre of Expertise (CoE), which is organised at the group level. You will report to the team leader on procedures, processes and risk modelling. In your day-to-day work, you will work closely with other KYC & FC specialists (located in different of our Triodos branches, countries) as well as with your local stakeholders.
