Job description
🚲 Your mission
From the start of the Mons location, you will set up impact projects to support and facilitate the transition of individuals and communities towards active and sustainable mobility.
You are responsible for the development and coordination of the activities of the Mons site, which radiates throughout the Province. In a context of evolving mobility, you will contribute to the strategic development of this location, cross-functional adult riding projects, and Pro Velo's activities in dialogue with the management and other managers.
You encourage, through a participatory approach, the involvement, well-being and collaboration of your teams.
👉 Missions Implantions Pro Velo
Each location – made up of workshop coordinators, bicycle mechanics, project and project managers, educational coordinators and trainers – carries out the following main tasks:
Reception and information for the general public at Pro Velo.
Sale of new and used bicycles and accessories
Mechanical workshop – repair for the general public.
Management of a fleet of bicycles: maintenance, fleet renewal, external rentals, etc.
Management and development of bicycle testing projects and services to municipalities and companies, in collaboration with the other Walloon departments.
Project development and organization of training in schools, companies and for the general public throughout the province.
The location of Mons also has the particularity of evolving in interaction with local cycling associations:
The Bike Hub, created in 2023 at the initiative of the City of Mons, brings together all the cycling associations, including Pro Velo. Each one ensures that the offer of services for citizens is enriched and thus participates in the construction of a coherent and evolving set of activities.
In partnership with the City of Mons, we are developing a long-term bike rental offer and saddle up projects that make cycling accessible to everyone in Mons.
The complete team is made up of 11 people: 5 people for the "service" part (3 people for the mechanical workshop including a coordinator, 2 people for the management of daily activities and projects) and 6 people for the "educational" part (1 coordinator and 5 pedagogical officers).
📝 Your tasks
You are an ambassador for the non-profit organisation's corporate purpose, internally to your team and externally to the general public and partners. You carry and defend the societal vision of our association ;
You manage a portfolio of varied and interconnected projects;
You ensure the transversality and deployment of Walloon projects at the Mons level and find the right balance between the Walloon strategy, the operational strategy and local realities;
As Program Manager of Adult Saddle Riding and in collaboration with the project manager in place, you dedicate 1/5th of your time (1 day/week) to the strategic development and supervision of cross-functional adult riding projects (e.g. for a precarious public via " Vélo Solidaire ", a family audience via " Les Darons au Guidon ", the general public via " Ma Ville à Vélo "). You are responsible for their articulation, coherence and operational application in all Walloon establishments;
You preserve the quality partnerships already established with various actors and continue to develop new sustainable local partnerships
You are participating in the evolution of the Bike Hub, as a central place for cycling mobility stakeholders in Mons. You are responsible for the management of the building, in conjunction with the owner and partner associations;
You conceptualize, develop, supervise the launch, monitoring and evaluation of projects and activities, in line with Pro Velo's development strategy.
You participate in the reflections and strategic projects of the non-profit organisation with the staff of Managers and the Management (e.g . the increase in " saddle-in-the-saddle " training for vulnerable groups or the improvement of our environmental management at the level of Pro Velo);
You coordinate and supervise the team, in collaboration with the workshop coordinator and the pedagogical coordinator of the implementation: coaching, planning, distribution, task monitoring and individual follow-up
With the support of the HR department and your coordinators, you follow the evolution of your team: recruitment, onboarding, development, evaluation and training;
In conjunction with the other managers, you develop coherence and collaboration between your location and the other Pro Velo locations;
In conjunction with the pedagogical coordinator, you will develop collaboration and projects with the team of trainers in Hainaut;
With the support of the communication department, you ensure the communication of the services of your location;
With the support of the Administration & Finance department, you manage the administrative and financial aspects of your establishment ;
You will report on the department's activities and activity reports.
Profile
You are passionate about active mobility and environmental issues, and are able to defend the issues. 🚲✨
You have proven experience in team and project management.
Intrapreneur at heart, have a sense of participative leadership and are a driver of change and innovation.
With a good analytical and synthesis mind, you are able to have a global and long-term vision of project management.
Your assertiveness, your sense of negotiation and your customer orientation allow you to represent Pro Velo to our various partners.
Autonomous, organized and with good interpersonal skills, you have solid experience in project management.
Enthusiastic, you are able to imagine and promote new ideas.
You are familiar with reading numbers and basic budget analysis. 📊
You have a good knowledge of local institutions, policies and associations.
You have a good knowledge of Wallonia and more specifically of the Province of Hainaut.
You have the APE employment aid (registered for at least 1 day as a job seeker at the Forem).

A part-time permanent contract (4/5ths) 📆
A gross monthly salary between 2956 euros and 3352 euros (salary at 4/5ths) depending on the seniority recognized in a similar position.
Meal vouchers of 7 euros per day worked.

Eco vouchers of 250 euros on the basis of a full year and full-time .
Reimbursement of home-work travel expenses (0.37ct/km for cycling – 100% public transport) and reimbursement of travel expenses for missions
