An ecological, economical and health-promoting means of transport? Cycling, of course! Like Pro Velo, we believe that soft mobility is the key to a greener future. So, saddle up!
Active for more than 30 years and present in 7 locations in Brussels, Wallonia and Antwerp, the non-profit organisation Pro Velo is now a safe bet in terms of two-wheelers! 🚴♂️
Their mission? To make cycling accessible to all through personalised support, whether for individuals, public authorities, schools or companies.
To do this, Pro Velo is committed to several fronts:
Inform, raise awareness and support, via training (for young and old), guided walks and a welcome in their various locations in Brussels and Wallonia.
Supporting budding cyclists through a series of tools and services (autonomy in tools, mechanical workshops, bike rental, sale and testing and even second-hand bike exchange!)
To make the bicycle our best ally through various projects and collaborations with citizens and public authorities.

A taste of the team
Joining Pro Velo means being part of a non-profit organisation that is committed, forward-looking and concerned about the well-being of its employees.
Indeed, each member of the team has an annual budget allowing them to train and develop their technical or behavioral skills. In addition, 2 staff days are organised each year, with many moments of conviviality over the months: breakfast, spikeball game break, padel/football match or even a drink after work. And to top it all off, a sponsor is assigned to each new colleague to facilitate their entry. In short, in a team like this, it's impossible to lose your footing! 🚴♂️
Their values: mutual respect, collaboration, participation, commitment, societal role. And since they are (super) nice, they have entrusted us with some of their secret ingredients on a daily basis: conviviality, the unusual and the fun!

Our commitments to a sustainable world
In Brussels, their Vélo Solidaire project - which supports vulnerable populations - has made it possible to distribute 729 bicycles and 720 hours of training in 42 participating associations.
In line with the UN's Sustainable Development Goals, Pro Velo supports the transition from company cars to bicycles. In 2022 alone, their project The Bike Project enabled 68 Brussels companies to be supported in their cycling policy. Greener, more economical, more efficient. 🌱
By working at Pro Velo, everyone participates in the construction of a society that is aware of planetary limits and respectful of human beings. Thanks to their multidisciplinary approach, which is unique in Belgium, the non-profit organisation works for employers, public authorities and citizens who are starting to think about their mobility. A comprehensive and consistent approach for concrete results: in 2022, the number of cyclists during rush hour shows an increase of 43.7% compared to 2021.
Because children are the actors of tomorrow, in 2022, Pro Velo supported and trained 868 classes in Belgium.
71% of their employees consider that the values of diversity and inclusion are present at Pro Velo. Thanks to the creation of a Diversiteam (a diversity committee), these topics are regularly put on the table and discussed.
