Accounting & Treasury Manager

As an Accounting and Treasury Manager, you will assume the managerial responsibility of two team leaders who are in charge of accounting, treasury and the technical circuits of the Partenamut mutual insurance company and the non-profit organisation Cias.

On a day-to-day basis:  

• You will coach, train and develop a dynamic team of accounting and treasury professionals, fostering a collaborative work environment and ensuring compliance with quality and performance standards.

• You identify opportunities to improve accounting and treasury processes and systems, proposing and implementing effective solutions to increase operational efficiency and reduce risk.

• You will supervise the accounting, tax and financial activities of the teams.

• You are responsible for the quality of the monthly and annual financial statements. 

• You will collaborate actively and cross-functionally with the finance teams of management control, finance business partners, the purchasing department, and the business teams of the mutual insurance company and the non-profit organisation CIAS.

• You are in contact with the suppliers and partners of the mutual insurance fund and the CIAS.

More precisely, as a Manager, your mission will consist of your team:

Accounting Management:

• You supervise and coordinate the organisation's accounting activities, ensuring that all accounting and financial transactions are recorded accurately and in compliance with Belgian accounting standards and mutual insurance regulations.

• You supervise and coordinate the analytical dimensions that are related to the accounting entries in order to establish specific financial statements.

• You will supervise and support the accounting team in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, as well as in the closing of the accounts at the end of the year.

• You will supervise and support the accounting team in the preparation and editing of Belgian tax returns.

• You will supervise and support the teams in specific files (audit of accounts, permanent files, process updates, research and deployment of new applications related to finance,...).  

Management of the mutual fund's cash flow and technical circuits:

• You oversee and support the organization's treasury activities, accurately forecasting cash flow and implementing strategies to optimize cash flow management.

• You supervise and coordinate relations with banks and other financial partners, negotiating the financial conditions related to the management of the activities of the mutual fund and the non-profit organisation CIAS.

• You have a university degree in accounting, finance or equivalent by experience.

• You have significant professional experience (5-7 years) preferably in the financial services or healthcare sector in Belgium.

• You have in-depth knowledge of Belgian accounting standards and current tax regulations.

• You have strong team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop employees.

• You have excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with different levels of the organization.

• You are proficient in financial management IT tools and accounting software (ideally U4,..).

• You have a (passive) knowledge of Dutch and English.
