Job description

As Accounting and Treasury, you will assume managerial responsibility for two team leaders who are in charge of accounting, treasury and the technical circuits of the Partenamut mutual insurance company and the non-profit organisation Cias.

On a daily basis:  

  • You are in charge of the supervision and development of your team : training, support, coaching and team development while promoting a collaborative work environment and ensuring compliance with quality and performance standards.

  • You identify opportunities to improve accounting and treasury processes and systems and implement effective solutions to increase operational efficiency and reduce risk.

  • You supervise and supervise the accounting, tax and financial activities of the teams and guarantee the quality of the monthly and annual financial statements.

  • You oversee cash flow activities, make accurate forecasts , and implement strategies to optimize cash flow management. You will also manage relations with banks and financial partners, negotiating the conditions related to the activities of the mutual insurance company and the non-profit organisation CIAS.

  • You will collaborate actively and cross-functionally with the finance teams of management control, finance business partners, purchasing, and the business teams of the mutual insurance company and the non-profit organisation CIAS.

  • You will be in contact with suppliers, banks and financial partners and negotiate the conditions related to the activities of the mutual fund and the non-profit organisation CIAS.

Profile

  • You have a bachelor's degree in accounting or a master's degree in finance or equivalent by experience.

  • You have significant professional experience (5-7 years) preferably in the financial services or healthcare sector in Belgium.

  • You have an in-depth knowledge of Belgian accounting standards and the tax regulations in force.

  • You have strong team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and develop employees.

  • You have excellent analytical skills and the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with different levels of the organization.

  • You are proficient in financial management IT tools and accounting software (ideally U4, Odoo, etc.).

  • You have a (passive) knowledge of Dutch and English.
