Job description

Support the ActionED team of facilitators in their projects, productions and animations :

  • Support the organization of the primary project on textiles and/or food,

  • To support the JM-Oxfam* dynamic in secondary schools in Wallonia and Brussels,

  • To support the dynamics of Oxfam-en-Action** in higher education, with a view to education for global citizenship and solidarity.

The intern will be integrated into the ÉduAction team, and will be supervised by his or her manager.

The Young Stores of the World (JM-Oxfam) are teams of students and adults active in secondary schools. By promoting fair trade in schools and raising awareness of solidarity among students, these teams are taking concrete action for a fairer world. Their small shop is a place of sale and action but also a place of debate and reflection that offers a concrete alternative within the school.

Oxfam-en-Action is an activist movement, which is part of a dynamic of education for global citizenship and solidarity, in which young people aged 18 to 25 get involved and mobilize, preferably in teams, around local or national projects and actions aimed at concrete impacts strengthening Oxfam's strategies and struggles.  

Tasks assigned to the intern:

  • Support for the organisation of events : training and action days, training weekends, etc. Preparation and animation.   

  • Participation in the creation of educational, information and action tools for members of JM-Oxfam and Oxfam-en-Action.

  • Activities in secondary schools, with JM-Oxfam teams and students in general. Depending on the requests, training on fair trade, food sovereignty, decent work, climate justice.

  • Mobilization of student groups to organize awareness activities.

  • Content creation for social networks (mainly Instagram).

  • Animation of activities in the 5th and 6th primary classes, (on the themes of " textile " and " food ").

  • Active participation in meetings and team life of the EDE service.

  • Mobilization and communication skills

  • Comfortable speaking in front of and leading various age groups (children, teens and young adults)

  • Reflection and creativity for the development of educational tools and events

  • Interest in issues related to fair trade and global citizenship

Why apply?

  • Period: first or second semester 2026 (Jan/Feb – April/May or Sept/Oct – Nov/Dec). The period is not fixed and can be discussed but must have a duration of a minimum of 8 weeks.

  • Hourly schedule: 4 or 5 days/week (can be negotiated)

  • The main location of the internship is the office of Oxfam-Magasins du monde in Louvain-La-Neuve. Journeys made as part of the course are reimbursed. Occasional teleworking possible

  • Oxfam-Magasins du monde offers an active internship with responsibilities and caring supervision
