Sustainable Packaging Expert
Job description
At Fost Plus and Valipac, we are building a circular economy every day in which raw materials are preserved as much as possible. We ensure that a maximum number of members put packaging on the market that meets the legal requirements of prevention, reuse and recyclability of the packaging.
Your mission:
As a Sustainable Packaging Expert, you guide and inspire companies to take the step towards packaging with a minimal ecological footprint. You will help our members to eliminate, reduce and transform packaging into fully recyclable solutions — in line with the European targets for 2030.
You will work together with 3 Sustainable Packaging Experts and account managers within Fost Plus, as well as with federations, producers and other stakeholders to enable real change. You will detect opportunities, challenge companies and be their guide in a rapidly evolving world of sustainable materials and circular innovations.
Your responsibilities:
Together with the account managers, you will proactively look for opportunities for improvement among our members: how can packaging disappear, be reduced or be more recyclable?
You will raise awareness, advise and motivate companies and sector federations — both on an individual and collective basis.
You convince and guide members in changing to more sustainable and recyclable packaging.
You are our subject matter expert when it comes to packaging and its degree of recyclability.
You recognize trends in the market, follow up on innovations and challenges and adapt according to the working methods.
You analyse the market, monitor progress and report clearly and regularly on the state of affairs.
You will work together with packaging producers, recyclers and knowledge institutions to identify and test sustainable alternatives.
After a training period, you coordinate one or more internal projects as a project manager and you are encouraged to take initiative within an organization that is constantly changing.
