🚀 Your mission: Help shape the public voice of Fost Plus
Fost Plus is looking for a Press Officer (and deputy spokesperson/spokesperson) who combines a sense of news with social involvement. In this role, you convincingly present our mission around circular economy. You are the first point of contact for the press and media and ensure that our views, projects and expertise enter the public debate in a clear, consistent and credible manner.
Together with a passionate communication team, you will work on a strategic and impactful press policy. You will report to the Reputation & Corporate Affairs Manager.
👉 Responsibilities
You will build strong, lasting relationships with national and regional press contacts.
You will ensure that Fost Plus is present in a correct and relevant manner in the social debate on (packaging) waste management, recycling and the circular economy.
You will write press releases, statements, Q&As and opinion pieces that are in line with current trends and our role as an expertise organisation.
You coordinate media questions and interviews.
You will support fellow experts in interviews or participation in public debates.
You monitor media attention and analyse the impact of our press campaigns on reputation and visibility.
You will guide our external PR office and challenge them to both proactively and reactively optimize our visibility on traditional and modern media channels.
You will take care of the administrative follow-up and reporting of the PR budget.
You will play an active role in crisis communication and ensure a thoughtful, timely and coherent approach in collaboration with internal teams.
You contribute to broader communication campaigns and participate in events organised by Fost Plus and its partners.
Profile
🌱 Expertise
You have a bachelor's or master's degree in communication, journalism, public relations or a related field.
You are French-speaking and can also express yourself professionally in Dutch. Knowledge of English is a plus.
You have a fluent pen and can convert complex information into clear, accessible messages.
You are flexible, stress-resistant and know how to switch effortlessly between files and themes.
You follow current events closely, have a feel for social themes and know what journalists are hooking up on.
