Assistant Production Manager - Full time

In full expansion with a head full of projects, we are looking for our new Assistant Production Manager who will play a key operational role in our central kitchen located in Brussels from where our dishes prepared by our teams leave every day.

Objective of the Function : The Assistant Production Manager works under the responsibility and in collaboration with the Production Manager.

He/she operates according to determined methods and work rules defined by the Production Manager and ensures that they are well understood and executed within the teams.

The assistant production manager is present in the daily production (field) and actively participates in the completion of tasks.

He/she participates in the reflection on the feasibility and operational implementation of new projects.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Ensures that measures are proposed to optimize productivity and quality (working methods, workflow automation, etc.).

• Ensures the quality and productivity of the workshop team.

• Ensures compliance with HACCP rules in all circumstances.

• Inventory tracking and order tracking.

• Coaching and development of the workshop team.

• Onboarding and training of new team members.

Resource management (team(s), budget, others):

• Provides for the stocks and human resources necessary for the day-to-day activity.

• Knows how to adapt the available resources according to trends in activity and established forecasts.

• Monitor and ensure that the work tool available to the teams is in line with the achievement of production objectives. He/she ensures the correct use/maintenance of the equipment provided.

• Participates in the realization of the budget with regard to production capacities and profitability factors.

Delegation of authority, decision-making power:

• N+1 of the zone managers (hot, cold morning and afternoon, night and vegetable shop).

• Operational/organizational coordinator of delivery drivers, warehouse worker and sales administrator.

• Controls the delivery people (punctuality, cleanliness, attitude,...).

• Carry out quality and internal productivity controls in the workshop in collaboration with the Production Manager.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Study in hospitality is preferred.

• Minimum 4 years of experience as an assistant manager in a community/central kitchen, site manager or equivalent.

• Experience with HACCP rules.

• Speaks French fluently.

• MS Office (Excel).
