Resource Nurse - Long-term follow-up of adult cancer survivors (M/F/X)
Job description
What if your nursing expertise could help patients better navigate life after cancer?
The end of oncological treatments marks a new stage in patients' lives, but it does not always mean the end of aftereffects or healthcare needs. Persistent fatigue, pain, cognitive disorders, psychosocial difficulties, or fear of recurrence: cancer survivors require personalized support to preserve their health and quality of life in the long term.
As a resource nurse, you play a central role in this pathway. At the crossroads of clinical expertise, interprofessional coordination, and research, you help develop an innovative and individualized approach to post-cancer follow-up.
🩺 Your responsibilities
- Ensure personalized clinical follow-up: conduct transition consultations at the end of standard oncological follow-up, develop and update the survivor's passport, and organize follow-up according to individual risk levels.
- Develop your advanced nursing practice: conduct clinical evaluations, identify late effects of treatments, implement interventions provided by shared protocols, and consult physicians in the presence of warning signs.
- Support patients in the post-cancer phase: assess their physical, psychological, and social needs, promote self-management and health-promoting lifestyle habits, and refer them to appropriate supportive care.
- Coordinate the care pathway: collaborate with general practitioners, oncologists, cancer care centers, and specialized teams to ensure coherent, secure, and continuous care.
- Contribute to improving the quality of care: develop protocols, monitor program indicators, conduct audits, and participate in the evolution of follow-up tools and pathways.
- Participate in research and innovation: develop the passport module library, adapt international scientific recommendations, and contribute to the ADAPT-SURV and JANE-2 projects.
- Share your expertise: participate in team training, the dissemination of best practices, and the development of the nursing discipline in the field of long-term follow-up.
Want to give a new dimension to your nursing practice? Join a project that makes post-cancer care a true priority in healthcare, research, and innovation.
