Why we recruit

This approach gives us direct control, increased proximity to our teams, and the ability to ensure flexible and responsive payroll management for all our hospital employees. We are looking for a Payroll Officer to strengthen our team following internal changes within our HR team.
📝 What the job consists of
As a Payroll Officer (M/F/X), you will play an essential role in ensuring the daily management of the salaries of more than 2,000 employees, while ensuring compliance with social legislation and the specificities of the hospital sector. This area is distinguished by variable working hours, sector-specific scales and bonuses, and special conditions of employment.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Analyse, process and control payroll and work performance data, in compliance with social legislation, procedures, internal and external regulations
Encode data related to compensation changes, organizational changes, staff movements, allowances and uncomfortable benefits in dedicated software
Carry out administrative formalities and regularizations during changes in contracts, working hours, remuneration or personal changes
Establish mandatory legal declarations and legal calculations in order to guarantee the adequate payment of salaries and/or income supplements/exits.
Complete regulatory documents and draft official letters related to the legal management of personnel
Inform staff of the legal steps they must take, in order to ensure the adequate payment of salaries and/or income supplements
Establish mandatory legal declarations (withholding tax, Belcotax, Dimona, Activa, etc.) in order to guarantee the adequate payment of salaries, pensions, and/or income supplements
Perform payroll simulations and calculations related to career breaks, pension
Ensure relations, in connection with administrative and salary management, with both external and internal bodies
Answer questions from internal/external customers
Ensure the legal evolution of matters related to your activity and inform your colleagues or internal contacts of changes impacting their work
Participate in the development of projects and/or the implementation of HR programs (optimization of payroll software, attractive salary policy)
Carrying out permanences HR at other sites
Eventually, you will be autonomous in payroll management, coordinating traceability files and initiating payment. You will also be responsible for an area of activity.
🚀 Your manager, your team and your environment
Our Human Resources Department is located at the Etterbeek-Baron Lambert site in Etterbeek. Our team currently consists of about thirty professionals (HRIS, HR Officer, Payroll Officer, administrative assistants, secretaries, HRBP, recruiters)
You will join the Administration and Payroll team of 11 colleagues. This team is responsible for the administrative management of staff and salaries. You will work closely with your fellow Payroll Officers as well as other team members related to data and social legislation, absence-sickness and internal mobility
You will work mainly on the Etterbeek-Baron Lambert site
Your manager will be Florane, Head of Administration and Payroll

Profile
🎓 Your education
You have a bachelor's degree in human resources management
A background in social legislation is essential
💪 Your experiences and knowledge
You are a recent graduate or you already have experience as a payroll officer
You have completed an internship in payroll
A first experience in payroll management is an asset
Knowledge of Allyn or other payroll software is an asset
Proficiency in PEP or other scheduling software is also a plus
You have a good knowledge of Dutch
