Job description

A Nurse Coordinator specialized in oncology (m/f/x)
On a permanent full-time or 80% contract
What does the job consist of?
As a nurse coordinator at the Breast Clinic, you will have the opportunity to put into practice the benevolence and quality of care on a daily basis. Your role will be essential in supporting the patient and his or her family throughout his or her therapeutic path.
Under the responsibility of the Polyclinic Manager, you will be required to accompany the patient with breast cancer throughout his or her care pathway in order to ensure optimal management of his or her pathology.
In particular, you will be in charge of:
- Coordinate the patient's examinations and ensure the various follow-ups;
- Collaborate with the medical profession and ensure contact with other stakeholders. In particular, you prepare and participate in the weekly meeting bringing together the various medical, paramedical and social actors;
- Provide advice, accompaniment and support to the patient and their loved ones by establishing a relationship of trust;
- Listen, answer questions, reformulate the points made by the doctors, by participating in the consultation of the announcement of the doctor's diagnosis;
- Explain the course of the proposed treatments and give an overview of possible side effects as well as ways to reduce or resolve them;
- Accompany the patient and his or her loved ones in emotionally difficult situations.
As a nurse specializing in oncology, you will be required to perform acts such as:
- Removal of threads, irrigation, repair of dressings;
- Helps with lymphocele punctures;
- Comprehensive care of the care pathway;

You are in possession of a Bachelor's degree in nursing stamped and registered by the Medical Commission of Brabant. You are in possession of the legal title of nurse specialized in oncology.

You are fluent in French and have a good knowledge of the second national language.
Your computer knowledge allows you to ensure optimal follow-up of files.

A full-time permanent contract, 38 hours/week or part-time, 80% (30 hours 24 minutes/week). The hours are between 8 am and 4:30 pm, until 6:30 pm on Fridays.
