 The Institute of Psychiatry (IPI) is a unique place that brings together the various psychiatric activities of the Saint-Luc University Clinics and the Valisana Psychiatric Hospital.

Inaugurated in 2024, the IPI has established itself as a reference in French-speaking Belgium. It combines clinical excellence, interdisciplinarity, training and research in an architectural environment designed for the well-being of patients and teams.

 The IPI is composed of several units specialized in adult psychiatry, each with its own clinical mission, in a spirit of complementarity and synergy.

 Within this structure, we are currently looking for a deputy head nurse for the N10 who will be able to evolve into a head nurse function (see the specifics of the position).

 The N10 is an adult psychiatric inpatient unit that treats mood disorders, among other things. This unit is composed of 24 inpatient beds, a calming room and 4 beds for outpatients in the context of the administration of certain treatments requiring monitoring. 

👉 Your missions: 

 As an Assistant Head Nurse, you will work closely with the Head Nurse, while continuing to work with patients to:

  • ensure the daily coordination of care and the organization of nursing work,

  • support the team in its dynamics and cohesion,

  • ensure the quality and safety of care in a patient-centred approach,

  • actively contribute to the department's development projects (nursing practices, digital tools, training, quality),

  • Foster collaboration with the multidisciplinary team in a specialized and transdisciplinary framework.

Profile

📚 Qualifications and experience required

  •  You hold a bachelor's degree in nursing or an equivalence recognised by the Wallonia-Brussels Federation.

  • You have a specialization in mental health and psychiatry.

  • You have a master's degree in public health, management or a diploma from the École des Cadres.

  • You have a perfect command of French, both oral and written (minimum B2 level).

  • You are comfortable with digital tools and health technologies to ensure effective coordination of care.
