The Billing department is fully in line with this dynamic, with strategic challenges to come: network integration with other hospitals and the development of innovative tools, in particular via artificial intelligence and big data.

 In this context, we are looking for a Head of the Billing Department to ensure the overall management of the invoicing process, from the entry of services to the issuance of invoices and the management of exchanges with mutual insurance companies. This role also involves managing a team of around 25 employees and coordinating internal stakeholders to ensure complete, fast and compliant invoicing.

🎯 Your responsibilities

🔹 Management of the invoicing process

  • Oversee the planning, coordination and execution of the hospital billing process.

  • Ensure the maintenance and optimization of invoicing tools.

  • Ensure the rigorous application of the INAMI rules and organize a regulatory watch.

  • Develop feedback loops with medical services to improve data quality.

  • Ensure a transparent, measurable , and traceable process.

  • Manage billing-related questions and complaints .

  • Actively participate in inter-hospital reconciliations, aligning resources and processes.

🔹 Team management and development

  • Supervise, energize and motivate a team of 25 people.

  • Ensure continuity of service and the professional development of employees.

  • Update and improve internal procedures .

  • Represent the Billing department in institutional projects.

Profile

📚 Qualifications and experience required

  • University degree in economics, management or equivalent hospital experience

  • Proven experience in team management, in a similar position and in project management

  • Perfect knowledge of French

  • Aptitude and strong interest in the use of computer tools

Additional assets

  • Knowledge of health insurance and national health care bodies and basic knowledge of accounting and hospital management are assets, a keen interest in these subjects is desired

  • Knowledge of Dutch, English, or other language desirable
