Job description

TAF is an adapted work company. It is organised for people with disabilities with adapted supervision.

Production is one of the means chosen for the socio-economic integration of staff with disabilities in a collective environment.

The function of the production manager consists of managing the entire production department in the field.

Scope of Function:

The production department covers the following 3 sectors of activity:

  • Handling: handling of all types (sorting, assembly, mechanical and electronic assembly, folding, cutting, etc.)

  • Packing: packaging and packaging

  • Cooking: 5 professional kitchens

These three sectors represent a team of 3 supervisors and about forty workers.

You are responsible for the effective organisation of production, including that of management staff and workers, strict compliance with administrative and traceability processes, as well as general maintenance and technical development.

You ensure quality and production times.

The production manager reports directly to the general management.

Function and responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with orders

  • Manage production planning and set priorities

  • Ensure the optimization of productivity and production costs in line with the skills of the staff

  • Participate in the achievement of profitability objectives

  • Be the quality manager

  • Mentor and support production team leaders and their staff

  • Ensure the development of the teams and their well-being in collaboration with the social worker and the HR manager

  • Participate in the improvement of production processes

  • Ensure the operational and administrative management of the production department

  • Ensure the management and follow-up of equipment maintenance in collaboration with the technical manager

  • Participate in the reflection aimed at the development of the workshop (equipment-suppliers)

  • Supervise logistics (inventories, in/out stock tracking, transport, loading/unloading, etc.)

  • Ensure the application of administrative and traceability procedures, including for the food aspects of the cooking sector (hygiene standards, FASFC control, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with procedures and safety (storage, cleaning, use of machines, etc.)

  • Participate in the development of quotes in collaboration with the sales manager

Profile

  • Higher education diploma with a technical or management orientation, or lower education with proven experience

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience with proven responsibilities in team management in a production sector

  • Knowledge of MS Office Suite

  • Have a strong social affinity and open-mindedness

  • Be organized and professional

  • Be a very good communicator and be assertive

  • Working with rigor and method

  • Have a sense of organization

  • Be resistant to stress

  • Having a good knowledge of Dutch is a plus
