Occupational Therapist in Ambulatory Orthopaedics

In the outpatient orthopaedics-rheumatology unit, you will accompany patients in their rehabilitation journey in order to promote their autonomy, functional independence and participation in activities that give meaning to their daily lives.

You will carry out a global and patient-centred assessment, identify with them their priorities and build an individualised intervention plan, adapted to their needs and development.

Your intervention may include:

• Assessment of the patient's abilities, functional limitations and needs, including through the use of the ROM.
• Defining individualized treatment goals and implementing a structured treatment plan.
• The proposal of technical aids and strategies to promote autonomy in activities of daily living.
• The realization of analytical exercises and concrete situations to promote the transfer of knowledge in daily life.
• Supporting the patient in resuming their daily, leisure and, when relevant, professional activities.
• Participation in the facilitation of therapeutic activities such as the cooking group and hydrotherapy.
• Close collaboration with doctors, physiotherapists and other professionals in the context of multidisciplinary follow-up.
• Participation in team meetings, improvement of practices and projects developed within the department.
• Contribution to training, innovation or clinical research projects.
• Participation in the supervision of trainees.
• You also contribute to the continuity of care within the department, by occasionally replacing the occupational therapist in the rheumatology department during his absences.

You have a bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and wish to put your expertise at the service of concrete, functional and goal-oriented care.

Experience in orthopedics, rheumatology or functional rehabilitation is an asset. Additional training in these areas, particularly in technical aids or functional assessment, is also appreciated.
