Cardio-respiratory intensive care physiotherapist

At the Cliniques universitaires Saint-Luc, you will join a team of physiotherapists working with patients hospitalised in the various adult intensive care units, as well as with patients treated in the emergency department.

In a complex and stimulating clinical environment, you will provide physiotherapeutic care adapted to the condition and evolution of each patient. You will intervene in particular in the cardio-respiratory field, with patients who may present acute clinical situations and require specialized care.

Your mission includes:

• Assess the patient's clinical situation, identify priorities and adapt your care to its evolution;
• Provide physiotherapy care to intensive care and emergency patients;
• Participate in the management of patients requiring mechanical ventilation or non-invasive ventilation;
• Collaborate closely with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and other professionals involved in the patient journey;
• Ensure the continuity, quality and traceability of care in the computerized patient record;
• Organize your clinical activity independently and ensure the proper administrative management of your interventions;
• Participate in clinical exchanges and the development of professional practices within the sector;
• Contribute, when necessary, to the supervision of the trainees.
• You will work in an academic and interdisciplinary environment, conducive to the development of your skills and the enrichment of your clinical expertise.

Education and experience

• Master's degree in physiotherapy and rehabilitation;
• Approval by the FPS Public Health;
• INAMI accreditation;
• Professional experience in adult intensive care;
• Good knowledge of cardio-respiratory physiotherapy;
• Basic knowledge of the use of mechanical ventilation and non-invasive ventilation.
• The certificate of special competence in cardio-respiratory physiotherapy is an asset.
