Job description

Do you want to practice occupational therapy in an environment where your expertise contributes concretely to the autonomy and well-being of children and adolescents?

The KaPP, a child psychiatry unit, is looking for an occupational therapist to join its multidisciplinary team and actively participate in the support of young hospitalized patients.

Within the KaPP, you support children and adolescents with difficulties in their daily functioning.

Your role is to assess their needs, identify their resources and difficulties, and then build and implement appropriate occupational therapy interventions, with the aim of strengthening their skills, developing their autonomy and encouraging their participation in daily activities.

Your expertise is fully integrated into a global approach to child psychiatry, in close collaboration with the various professionals who surround the child.

In concrete terms, you will be required to:

  • Conduct assessments of personal, occupational, and environmental factors to establish an occupational therapy diagnosis.
  • Develop and implement an individualized intervention plan, in line with the young person's therapeutic project.
  • Participate in institutional therapy and the daily life of the unit, individually and/or in a group.
  • To contribute to the psychotherapeutic and institutional care of children in a global approach.
  • Recommend and implement adapted equipment and compensatory tools.
  • Support the development of abilities, learning and autonomy in daily activities.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to the drafting of reports.
  • Be required to carry out home visits, when these are relevant in the context of the support.
  • Collaborate with families and various external stakeholders.
  • Share your expertise through information, training and prevention actions with the team and families.

Profile

  • Holder of a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy.
  • Comfortable working with children and adolescents.
  • Ideally trained in the sensory integration approach.
  • A person who is able to work independently while enjoying the dynamics of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Organized, rigorous, and able to prioritize your priorities.
  • Comfortable taking initiative and proposing solutions adapted to the needs of young people.
  • Able to anticipate and manage multiple tasks in a friendly and demanding environment.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to situations encountered in institutional therapy.
  • Listening, with a real interest in working with children and their families.
  • Experience with children is desired.
  • Mastery of the Office Suite is required.

Why apply?

A solid framework

  • 28 days of leave, resumption of seniority in connection with the position, end-of-year bonus, intervention in travel (transport, bicycle, car) and free secure parking.
  • Increases for irregular services above the minimum in the sector.

Evolve without having to leave

  • Real internal mobility, accessible training, university environment: you develop your skills and build your career over time, without having to change institutions to move forward.

Working together, really

  • Direct collaboration between business lines, multidisciplinary teams, fluid exchanges. Mutual aid is not a concept: everyone actively contributes to the patient journey, with room for initiative.

A daily life that holds up

  • Hospitalisation insurance for you and your family, bike leasing, partner benefits, local services, institutional events, access to a gym and reimbursed sports card. Concrete facilities, designed to simplify life.

An environment that advances

  • Renovation projects, sustainable transition, continuous evolution: you work in a changing environment, with a long-term vision.
