Quality Assistant
Job description
Since 1829, seven generations of the same family have been handcrafting biscuits, waffles and other delicacies in our Brussels workshop with the same high standards, and a renewed strong mission: to be a company with a regenerative aim that contributes to a sustainable and joyful world, with more well-being for people, the planet and biscuits.
Certified B Corp, Maison Dandoy sources locally, evolves towards organic and regenerative raw materials, and measures its success as much by its commitments as by its results.
Your role
Make quality a shared reflex, not an imposed control. You are at the heart of our operations, present on a daily basis in the workshop and in the boutique, alongside the teams that bring the House to life. You contribute to ensuring that our products, 100% natural and handmade, remain up to their reputation.
Missions
01 — Bringing quality to life on the pitch
HACCP, BPH, traceability, not as acronyms, but as concrete reflexes.
Ensure compliance with Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) in the workshop and in the store
Participate in the implementation and monitoring of the HACCP system
Contribute to the updating and proper application of the quality document system
Ensure the traceability of raw materials and finished products
Identify, analyze and track internal and external non-conformities
Participate in the handling of customer complaints and supplier disputes
Contribute to the implementation and follow-up of corrective and preventive actions
02 — Prepare and manage controls without unnecessary stress: Audits are not an end in themselves, they validate what we do well every day.
Carry out regular checks in the workshop and in the shop
Participate in the preparation and conduct of internal audits and official controls (FASFC)
Apply and follow product withdrawal/recall procedures
Check the compliance of the labelling (regulatory information, allergens, use-by date, etc.)
Participate in the drafting and updating of product data sheets and labelling elements
03 — Analyze for progress : A few well-chosen indicators are better than a dashboard that no one reads.
Analyze quality data (non-conformities, complaints, indicators)
Propose and monitor concrete improvement actions
Contribute to the improvement of practices and tools in the field
Ensure regular reporting to your manager
04 — Keep an eye on the production environment:
From machine cleanliness to microbiological results, nothing slips through the cracks.
Participate in the monitoring of the control plan (microbiological analyses, etc.)
Monitor results and alert in case of drift
Verify the effectiveness of cleaning and disinfecting tools, machines and premises
Participate in the follow-up of service providers (e.g. pest control)
05 — Structure the relationship with suppliers:
Our B Corp commitments start in our procurement.
Participate in the monitoring of raw material compliance
Contribute to the management and updating of supplier specifications
Participate in supplier assessment (documents, compliance)
06 — Onboard teams, not inspect them:
The best awareness is the one that you don't forget the next day.
Contribute to the dissemination and application of good hygiene practices
Participate in the training and awareness of the teams (production and stores)
Supporting teams on a daily basis in the application of standards
Adapt awareness-raising actions according to observations in the field
