As a Nurse Head of Unit, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating teams, implementing clinical best practices, developing and strategizing to meet the evolving needs of our patients. What does the job consist of?

As a head nurse, you play a key role as an interface between management and the field teams. You will ensure optimal organisational, material and logistical management of the psychiatry unit in order to guarantee quality patient care. On a daily basis, you coordinate the operation of the department by managing the care team and organizing work (monitoring attendance, managing orders and stocks, etc.).

·      Optimize the service according to the available resources

·      To ensure the harmonious functioning of the care team so that everyone can fulfill their mission in an optimal way

·      Evaluate the team and participate in its continuous training

·      Ensure coordination with the multidisciplinary team (doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, social workers, dieticians, etc.)

·      Guarantee the processes of global patient care and their updating

·      Collaborate in the development of nursing policy and ensure its application

·      Supporting institutional projects

·      Participate in the recruitment of nurses and the integration of new members of your team.

·      Supervise students in collaboration with the referring nurse and ICANES

You will work in close collaboration with the multidisciplinary team: doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and social workers.

How about we talk about you?

Your training:

·      You are in possession of a bachelor's degree in nursing stamped and registered by the Brabant Medical Commission.

·      You have completed additional training related to the management of a team (executive school or Master's degree). If you are in training and have already passed the first year of the executive school or the Master's degree, you can also apply.

·      You have completed the specialization in mental health and psychiatry

Your experience :

·      You have at least 5 years of experience as a nurse and you already have geriatric experience.

·      A first experience in team management is a real asset.

·      You have a good knowledge of Dutch : You are able to understand the patient's needs and communicate with your colleagues

Your skills :

·      Leadership: You will manage the service by guiding the care team and being the guarantor of HIS' values.

·      Communication: You communicate easily, which allows you to ensure upward and downward communication within the team and with the various health professionals (doctors, anesthesiologists, surgeons, etc.)

·      Assertiveness: You will propose organizational improvements and changes to schedule schedules to optimize the service, in collaboration with the assistant to the director.

·      Ability to anticipate and take initiative: You anticipate staffing needs for the coming months and adjust as needed.

·      Sense of priorities and ability to make effective and efficient decisions: In order to guarantee continuity of care.

·      Team spirit: You like to work in a team and you have a sense of collaboration. You follow up with your superiors and the doctor and you give indications and instructions to the members of your team.

·      Conflict management and reframing : You are on the front line in conflict management within your team. You know how to take the necessary measures.

Remuneration on the basis of the IFIC scales (category 17), with resumption of seniority:

·      Min: 4268.54 € (index: 2.1647)

·      Max : 6553.87€ (index : 2.1647)
