Job description

As Deputy Head of the DIS Applications Department, you will play a key role in the operational management of the department and actively contribute to the quality of the application solutions made available to the institution's teams.

As a real relay for the Head of Department, you combine operational expertise, project coordination and local management. You ensure business continuity, support the teams in their daily missions and participate in the continuous improvement of the department's practices.

As such, you will be required to:

  • manage and coordinate the operational activities within your scope;
  • guarantee the quality of services, compliance with commitments and continuity of service;
  • identify operational risks and propose appropriate corrective actions;
  • contribute to the prioritization of requests and the necessary arbitrations;
  • Supervise the teams involved in the application projects for which you are responsible;
  • organize work, distribute tasks and monitor the progress of projects;
  • ensure compliance with deadlines, objectives, budgets and methodologies in force;
  • leading teams, promoting their cohesion and supporting their commitment;
  • support the development of employees and contribute to their skills development;
  • act as a privileged point of contact for business departments and departments;
  • Participate in technology monitoring and propose ways to improve processes, tools and the organization of the department.

In the absence of the Head of Department, you will ensure his operational relay and contribute to the continuity of the management of activities.

Profile

You are an IT professional capable of combining operational vision, a sense of teamwork and local leadership.

Ideally, you have:

  • a higher education in computer science;
  • significant experience in managing applications, IT projects or coordinating technical teams;
  • a good understanding of complex application environments and information systems;
  • knowledge of project management methods and team leadership;
  • an excellent command of French and a good knowledge of English; knowledge of Dutch is an asset;
  • Familiarity with integration and application development technologies, which is considered an advantage.
