Job description
Pro Velo has been a central player in the development of active mobility in Belgium for more than 30 years and its mission is to make cycling accessible to everyone, in Brussels and Wallonia.
Our association offers personalized support, local services (rental, repair, testing of adapted bicycles, advice, etc.) and numerous training courses. It also works in favor of people who are far from cycling for an inclusive and equitable transition.
In collaboration with multiple partners – associations, schools, companies and public authorities – Pro Velo is committed to removing obstacles to the use of bicycles and contributing to a better quality of life.
Within the non-profit organization, the communication department has a double task: on the one hand, it is responsible for promoting the activities and services offered and disseminating reliable, accessible and up-to-date information about cycling to various target groups.
Your mission
In close collaboration with the head of the communication department and the communication team, you will be the reference person for operational communication in Wallonia.
As such, you will develop, develop and implement, together with the project or mission managers and the managers of the Walloon sites (Liège, Leuven-la-Neuve, Münster, Namur), communication plans for cross-functional projects and local activities.
You will support the Walloon teams in their communication needs while directly producing a significant part of the content and tools necessary for their implementation.
At the crossroads of operations and coordination, you ensure the coherence of the messages disseminated in Wallonia, ensure the link with the association's cross-cutting projects and contribute to the visibility of Pro Velo's activities among its various target groups.
Your tasks:
Coordination and communication strategy
Ensure the coherence and visibility of Pro Velo's image throughout Wallonia, in line with the association's communication orientations.
Co-constructing communication plans for cross-functional projects in close collaboration with the teams involved (Wallonia and Brussels).
To support Walloon institutions in identifying their communication needs, the implementation and evaluation of their local communication activities.
Ensure the connection between the Walloon teams and the communication team to promote the dissemination of information and the coherence of messages.
Participate in monitoring and analysis of the implementation of communication actions (audience, engagement, traffic) and propose opportunities for continuous improvement.
Implementation of communication actions
Design and coordinate the production of the communication material necessary for Walloon activities and projects.
Set up communication plans and campaigns (digital, print, events), monitor and evaluate them.
Produce multi-channel content adapted to different audiences : social network publications, articles, newsletters, promotional materials, video content, activity reports, etc.
Ensuring that, in collaboration with the project or mission officers, the Walloon communication channels are animated and regularly updated according to the activities and projects carried out in the field.
Collaboration with external service providers (briefings, requests for tenders, production controls, validation)
Support the dissemination of activities through the channels of external partners and relays.
Press relations and visibility
Support press actions in Wallonia in collaboration with project managers or project managers of the Walloon institutions (drafting and distributing press releases, organising press conferences).
Coordinate the media visibility of Walloon projects and activities.
Contribute to the mission of spokesperson for the media and partners in support of the teams involved.
Institutional partnerships and cooperation
Collaborate with the Walloon public authorities and institutional partners in the context of communication actions.
Participate in coordination meetings and contribute to the coherence of the messages that Pro Velo conveys.
Contribution to the communication department
Participate in the development of the department's tools, methods, and good practices.
Occasionally participate in Pro Velo events for the communication part.
Participate in bi-weekly meetings of the communications team.
Conditions of the fight APE:
Candidates who apply must meet the APE conditions, which are :
4 months of registration as a job seeker or have already worked under APE status ;
Be based in Wallonia.
Profile
You have a bachelor's or master's degree in communications or equivalent experience.
You have at least 3 years ' experience in the design and implementation of multi-channel communication actions and campaigns.
Your mother tongue is French. A good knowledge of English and/or Dutch is a plus.
You are interested in active mobility and environmental issues.
Knowing the world of cycling in Wallonia well (administration, politics, associations, etc.) is an additional asset.
Technical skills
Mastery of digital communication tools: social networks (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YoutTube), newsletters (MailChimp or equivalent) and CMS (WordPress or equivalent).
Proficiency in graphic design software (Canva, Adobe or equivalent).
Design and management of online advertising campaigns (Social media ads, Google Ads).
Simple video editing (PlayPlay or equivalent).
Performance monitoring and analysis via reporting tools (Meta, Matomo, MailChimp or equivalent).
Creative and editorial skills
Excellent writing skills and a sense of creativity: impeccable spelling, attractive and pedagogical style.
Ability to promote projects, services and expertise in a clear and engaging manner.
Ability to produce content tailored to different audiences and channels.
Organizational and interpersonal skills
Good sense of adaptation, proactivity, autonomy and sense of responsibility.
Ability to work in a team, share knowledge and train/guide other employees.
You are organized and experienced in project management.
You are respectful of deadlines, rigorous and versatile.
You are flexible in terms of travel (Brussels and the Walloon cities mentioned above).

A 4/5th permanent contract within a dynamic team. Start date : as soon as possible.
A gross monthly salary between 3213.74 euros and 3401.11 euros (salary at TP) depending on the recognized seniority in a similar position.
