Accounting Officer
Job description
Within our organization, the main objective of the Finance Department is to support SMART's strategic objectives by ensuring financial compliance related to our activities.
The Finance Department is made up of three departments; the Accounting & Finance Department, the Management Control Department and the Customer Service. You will join the Accounting & Finance Department under the responsibility of the CFO.
Your missions
Within the Finance Department and accompanied by an experienced team, your main mission is to support the accounting team in its daily financial management and accounting tasks and to participate, document and ensure the proper maintenance of the company's general and analytical accounting as well as the development and compliance of accounting.
You are the first line to ensure the proper encoding of accounting and economic operations under the supervision of senior accountants.
Enter accounting entries (purchases, sales, banks, etc.) ;
Ensure the filing and archiving of accounting documents;
Participate in the preparation of payments and the monitoring of supplier and customer balances;
Regularly monitor and clean accounting balances (purchases, sales, banks, etc.) ;
Assist in the reconciliation of accounts and the follow-up of invoices and their payments;
Carry out operational tasks related to the activity and accounting of members;
Process the flow of incoming requests through different channels;
Support the team in various administrative and operational tasks;
To contribute to the reception and orientation of the public frequenting our cooperative spaces.
Profile
Bachelor's degree in accounting, management or similar field;
A first experience in data encoding or accounting;
Experience in supplier balance analysis
Knowledge of Belgian tax and accounting standards ;
A good command of the Microsoft Office suite and particularly Excel;
Knowledge of accounting or ERP software (Sage, SAP, etc.) ;
Rigor and attention to detail;
Ability to demonstrate objectivity and impartiality ;
Proactivity and continuous improvement ;
Ability to quickly understand, structure and exploit a large volume of information;
Team spirit and transparent communication.

Conduct of interviews
Our selection process is rigorous, transparent and respectful of your time. It begins with an initial telephone or videoconference exchange with a member of the HR team. This pre-selection interview will allow us to discuss your background, your motivations and your expectations, while answering your questions about the position and our organization. At the end of this stage, and with your agreement, a professional reference can be taken.
Successful candidates will then be invited to complete online psychotechnical tests. These aim to assess certain skills and abilities related to the position.
Finally, the people selected for the last phase will participate in a face-to-face interview with the HR team and the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This meeting will allow you to deepen the aspects related to your experience, your skills and your suitability with the challenges of the position and the organization.
