Job description
As a legal expert in tax law , you will work under the responsibility of the Secretary General and join our legal team attached to General Management
Your main missions are as follows:
Advising the organisation on taxation in a complex environment (multi-regime VAT, taxation of non-profit organisations and cooperatives, supporting the security of transactions between entities)
Spreading a common and shared tax culture among all employees.
Specifically:
You will support management in defining and implementing its tax obligations and structuring the activities between the different entities;
You ensure the role of privileged interlocutor with external experts;
You will advise management on the handling of specific matters in the areas of VAT, corporate tax, intra-group tax, withholding tax and tax audits
You will introduce the tax audit : joint information, capitalization of files and analyses, updating of tax matters that affect Smart;
You act as an intermediary and intermediary between members, entities and tax authorities;
You will design and lead training courses on Belgian taxation and on specific topics (VAT, corporate tax, intra-group tax, cooperatives, non-profit organisations, etc.).
Profile
Master of Doctor of Law;
You have at least 10 years of experience as a lawyer, of which 5 years in corporate taxlaw or in a law firm;
You have a unique command of Belgian tax law and have a good knowledge of commercial law;
You understand the functioning of the tax administration, the procedures it uses and the mechanisms for checks and disputes;
You speak and write French fluently (C2) and have a good knowledge of English (at least B2);
You have good analytical skills;
You work meticulously and methodologically;
You have a strong adaptability, even in urgent situations;
You have good communication skills and excellent listening skills.
