Job description

As a UI Designer, you join a UX team that has been in place for 4 years, composed of 2 UX Researchers, 2 UX Designers and 1 UI Designer, under the supervision of a Team Lead. You will play a key role in the evolution of Partenamut's digital platforms. You will be responsible for designing intuitive and innovative user interfaces, developing and maintaining a robust design system, and integrating micro-interactions to enrich the user experience. You will also be involved in strategic projects that focus on ethical, sustainable, and customizable design through emerging technologies such as AI. 

👉 On a daily basis: 

1. Development and maintenance of the design system 🚀

  • Develop, document, and maintain a robust design system to ensure visual consistency and autonomy for development teams. 

  • Write clear and systematic guidelines to reduce the need for continuous validations by UI designers. 

  • Ensure the continuous updating of the design system taking into account the evolution of user needs and UX/UI trends. 

2. UX/UI 💻 Design

  • Translate insights from UX Researchers and wireframes from UX Designers into visual and interactive designs. 

  • Integrate micro-interactions and animations to improve user engagement and navigation fluidity. 

  • Guarantee optimal accessibility and a responsive design adapted to all media. 

  • Apply the principles of cognitive psychology and interface ergonomics to design fluid and efficient user journeys. 

3. Collaboration and integration 🤝

  • Work with front-end teams to ensure the faithful implementation of designs, including UI reviews on staging environments. 

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with multidisciplinary teams to optimize processes and ensure the quality of deliverables. 

  • Understand and integrate the impact of graphic choices on SEO and digital quality criteria, including multi-media adaptability, accessibility, compatibility and performance. 

4. Presentation and communication 📣

  • Present orally, illustrated, synthetic, and complete deliverables, graphic orientations, and strategic choices to ensure stakeholder buy-in. 

  • Use interactive mock-ups or prototypes to provide a clear and precise view of projects, explaining their strategic and operational added value. 

5. Innovation and monitoring 🔍

  • Be proactive in integrating concepts such as conversational design, personalized interactions via AI, and sustainable approaches in digital design. 

  • Ensure an active watch on UX/UI design trends and share best practices with the team.

Profile

  • You have a higher education degree (bachelor's or master's degree) as well as relevant experience in a similar position and you can demonstrate this to us via a portfolio linked to your application.

  • You have an advanced mastery of Figma and design tools in general (Adobe suite and others). 💻

  • You have proven experience in design and documentation of design systems

  • You have an in-depth knowledge of accessibility principles, responsive design and modern UX/UI standards. 

  • You have the ability to perform UI reviews in staging environments, with continuous improvement-oriented feedback. 

  • You have an understanding of the principles of cognitive psychology and interface ergonomics. 

  • You are familiar with the impact of graphic choices on SEO and digital quality criteria. 

  • You ideally have experience in designing mobile applications and complex environments. 

  • You are customer-oriented, have a great ability to analyze and question, hence your ability to accept and integrate constructive feedback. Also, you are curious and problem solver and you like to work alone as well as in a team.

  • You are fluent in French and have a good level of English and/or Dutch.
